Aquarium Protein Skimmer Hanging On Pump Saltwater Filter Internal Water Tank Filter for Marine Aquarium(#2)

The media could not be loaded.  Great price for my 18 gallon Nano Reef tank. The wooden airstone block it came with didn't work, I believe the wood was too dense. Luckily I have other air driven protien skimmers (different brand) and have replacement micro air stones/blocks at hand, they worked perfectly with this unit. I was happy with my other air driven skimmers but unfortunately this is a rimmed tank so the other brand won't work on this tank (also bought in Amazon). The suction cups are very strong, but make sure your glass is very clean so it creates a good seal.

Nice when it does all the skimming for you. I usually hand skim my tank 2x a day. It's been 3 days of this skimmer doing all the work. Excellent & worth every penny!

Works really well. I was concerned with how cheap it was, but I am really impressed. Used an aftermarket air block, took about 2 minutes to get the right height. Every week i drain the collection cup that is filled with scum. If you want to add a cheap but effective skimmer, this is it. 4 out of 5 since collection cup isn't removable, and needs aftermarket air block

The wooden air defuser works well, but I ordered some name brand lees. Works as advertised but protein skimmers don’t work in fresh water so why put that there?Three stars due to the HORRIBLE stench and chemical smell from the suction cups. I removed them because I didn’t want it to leach into my water and kill my corals.For this to work you must have an in line air controller. They are very cheap and you can control the amount of air going into the wooden block.Great design but I ordered a larger size than I needed so it takes up a lot of space. Good size collection cup.Works well.
