Meh, not recommended
I don’t really know what all the excitement for this book is all about. I read it to my 4YO at bedtime once. Nothing was funny, not even a giggle. She didn’t ask me to read it again. If she likes a book I have to read it over and over, night after night. I like Pinkeater, but this book is nothing special.

Very funny, and cool drawings
Very funny for both kids and grown-ups reading to them. I love the tone. For some reason, a lot of the books in this series are out-of-print, which is really too bad.

Another great Larry book
By my count this is the Pinkwaters sixth Larry Book plus the Bad Bears. Our family loves these and though the kids might be a little past this reading level the humor is great.Larry the Polar Bear invites his friends from the zoo over for a sleepover and well... the combination of dry humor and the eyes on the bears, got us laughing. I tried to tell them about the deep meanings I see in these books but the kids just made 'Polar Bear Eyes' and laughed. We have meet several people who thought these books were not funny, I worry about them. If you liked one of the earlier ones, this one is good, you can feed your habit. If you have never read one, this is a good one, just below Young Larry and Ice Cream Larry. If you did not like an earlier one... why would you be reading this review?

Sleepover Larry - it's an adventure
My Grandson, Burke, and I have great fun with reading this book again and again. Burke is only three so it gave us many opportunities for "teachable moments" to talk about what sleepovers were with friends and preparing for the party. Burke continues to love the book and I am glad that I enjoy reading it to him because it happens so often.

Love that bear!
I am a big fan of the Pinkwater Larry series and Sleepover Larry is one of the best! I bought this for my grandson for his 5th birthday. We read it together and talked about sleepovers. Imagine my surprise when he informed me that a wolf and a bunny came to his sleepover!

Better for older children
My children are 5 and 2 and lost interest in this book before the end. I think it would be better suited to a little older child.
