Bough this for my sons teacher and the class and her love it

The media could not be loaded. Had the magnet been strong enough to provide what the picture on the product page shows, I'd have been happy with it. Had they the sense to supply a donut-shaped magnet that would have provided something more than a mound in the center of the unit, it might have worked. But as received, the product does NOT match the claim, and the pictures they supply of what the result SHOULD look like are fraudulent.As received, for 7 seconds you get a small but interesting illustration of magnetic force. But, for the next 23 seconds, it's simply adding mass to a fuzzy black mound. The supplied magnet that's part of the base measures about 1.75" But even a cheap 1" sous-vide pot magnet works more like the one pictured on the product page.The video shows both how it works, and how it WOULD work, with a magnet of decent power. The picture shows the actual magnet they supply, hidden under a rubber disk.Amazon needs to ban any product that has bait and switch photos like the one on this product page.

I thought it didn't make structures, but it actually does IF I use the correct side of the stand!

I love everything about this, it’s well made, simple, it’s quirky and a good price. I’ve bought this for a Christmas gift.
