One of my biggest pet peeves is people using their knife blades to scrape and sweep food off their cutting boards. I know it's a handy thing to do since you already have the knife in your hand, but it dulls the blade and I don't need to sharpen my knives any more often than I already do.This bench scraper is fantastic for just that.I use a large cutting board to prep for cooking. This scraper is sturdy and the edges are just thin enough to cleanly scrape the piles of prepped items into the pan on the stove.I use this daily, so to keep it easily within reach, I stuck a small neodymium magnet onto the side of my knife block.My previous bench scraper had a similar rolled handle, but that one also had a cutout as a handhold. That made it very comfortable when using as a pastry cutter, but when using as a bench scraper, pieces would fall through that cutout .Since I cook way more often than I bake, this solid design works much better for me.4 quality scrapers for this price made me a bit leery, but so far the quality seems great. Been using for a couple of months now, so will see how they hold up after a years worth of daily use.

These are nice bench scrapers and perfect for food prep. They are heavy duty and I like that there are measurements engraved on them. They clean up easily and have not rusted at all. These were a really nice value and a great addition to my kitchen utensils.
