The velcro is strong on its second winter of use. The coat fits nicely, keeps my dog warm. Looks quite cute as it matches my husband's work Carhartt.

My dog loves it. The size guide is pretty accurate. I can throw it in the washer with no worries. Its standing up great to my dogs shenanigans. There isn't any protection for the belly area. Easy to put on. Velcro is strong. He can run with it on. It makes my dog look like a professional.

I love this jacket for my 75lbs Golden Retriever. The jacket is very stylish, but a tad short. His butt is exposed to the elements but everywhere else is a great fit. It keeps him warm when we go on walks in the morning and on hiking trails. I like that it has 2 pockets so that he can hold his own snacks and poop bag. The material is stiff-like so my wife doesn't allow him to sleep in it as she thinks its uncomfortable. It has good water resistance feature for my dog when he goes potty in the backyard. A big pricey but high quality jacket that will last for years to come.

Bought a size large and it’s perfect. Not too tight, not too large. The adjustable neck strap is awesome, we were afraid it wouldn’t fit him, as he is a thick necked, wide shouldered pup, but absolutely no issues. Very nice durable material, not too heavy, but will definitely help him retain heat in the brutal Midwest winters. We moved from Florida to Iowa this past January and quickly learned our dog hated any type of clothing! Funny enough, he didn’t even try to nip the coat when we first pulled it out, wish it was that easy back in January when he destroyed 3 puppy hoodies within minutes! Oh well, at least we have this awesome and stylish carhartt now! Bonus points - he gets to match with me on most days!

I bought this for my black lab to wear when it’s raining or cold. It’s easy to put on and fasten (if you can get her to stop wagging her tail!) and fits perfectly. Carhartt is always great quality and this is no exception. It’s made with the same tough fabric as the jackets for people that last forever. She is so excited when she sees me pick it up and she has had the opposite reaction with other jackets. It doesn’t hinder her at all when she is chasing her ball. It’s very much worth every penny as it will probably be the only jacket you will need to purchase.

I’m giving this coat 4 stars because I can’t bring myself to give it a 3 even though I want to. The coat is so incredibly well made - it is truly the quality of a Carhartt jacket you would buy for yourself. It has great little pockets and a corduroy collar as added details and a nice quilted lining; which is the same as you see in many men’s Carhartt coats. The stout canvas fabric and lining combo should be very warm and especially windproof. I do wish the lining was flannel rather than the slick nylon fabric but I think the idea of it being a little “cozy” has more to do with my needs than my dogs! The Velcro closures are very long and wide to help endure a good fit and secure closure. The thing that has made be drop to 4 stars is the lack of a hole to slip the leash through to easily clip it to the dog’s harness. I honestly may return this because of this issue…with all the thought that went into this coat I’m surprised they missed this! Clearly this jacket is made with a field/hunting dog in mind…one that is generally off leash - but for most of us the ability to clip the leash on and off is important. The coat is a bit too bulky to put the harness securely over it as you might be able to do with a thin sweater. So although I think this jacket is wonderful…the lack of consideration for attaching a leash really irks me…such a shame!

Perfect for the colder months. My dog also hates the rain, so as soon as she is wearing this, she has no fear! Great quality and easy to put on and off. Thank you, Carhartt for thinking of our fur babies!

My pit mix rescue has a very short coat and he’s kind of a wuss so he gets cold easily. This jacket is so perfect for him and keeps him nice and comfortable. He’s worn it in the rain and the jacket gets wet but it keeps him dry. The pockets are nice too if you want your dog to carry something by for you. Mine holds his own poop bags for walks. My only issue is that it’s a little too big on him. He’s 50lbs and we got him the large and the chest area is a little big on him but the length is perfect. The medium probably would have been too small.

Love this!! The large fits my 70lbs Labrador retriever pretty good, it’s a bit large but the Velcro's make it fit. We get lots of compliments during our walks and also durable for play time. Would recommend for the quality!!

Easy fitting, looks stylish and amazing.

I purchased this coat for my 6 month old pup. I know he will grow out of it but he has short fur and I just want him to be warm while out on our winter walks. Having purchased a Carhartt coat for myself in the past, the quality of this coat was never in doubt. I absolutely love how he looks in it, he looks so comfy and unhindered by it. It’s very well made and It will withstand scrapes from the hedges and undergrowth while he’s exploring. It’s extremely easy to put on and remove. The pockets add to the aesthetic (I’ll maybe put an AirTag in the buttoned one) along with the corduroy collar which takes it to another level, it does attract hairs though so I brush it afterwards to remove the white hairs. Having felt underneath the coat after walking I can vouch that it’s keeping him warmer. If this was going to be his long term winter coat and not his puppy one, I’ve no doubt he would get a lifetime of wear out of it. I went with the chest measurement and the back length when I picked the size (M) for him. The sizing suggested his neck was on the smaller side according to the measurements chart so I’m glad I went with the chest measurement, because I think it’s a perfect fit, you can judge for yourself in the photo. The Velcro straps are excellent quality too and don’t come loose. I’m 100% happy with the materials the stitching the overall design, the colour and the collar adds a touch of class. I highly recommend this dog coat. It’s not waterproof but it copes with light showers well. Can’t recommend it enough. You will get compliments on it.

Unser Hund wiegt ca. 15kg und ist kniehoch. Er ist 10 Jahre alt und hat manchmal etwas Probleme mit der Rückenmuskulatur, so haben wir beschlossen ihm für die nun kälter werdenden Tage etwas Wärmeschutz für draußen zu kaufen. Da ich selbst auch gerne Carhartt trage lag die Entscheidung für diesen Dog coat nahe. Der einzige Nachteil ist die fehlende Möglichkeit ein Brustgeschirr unter dem Mantel anbringen zu können, man muss mangels Öffnungen das Geschirr über den Mantel anlegen, was nicht mehr so gut aussieht. Ansonsten mit Halsband bleibt die schicke Optik erhalten. Waschbar und danach wieder imprägnieren funktioniert einwandfrei. Wir man auf den Bildern sehen kann passt es prima zu unserer Fellnase. Qualität und Verarbeitung in Carhartt Manier, aber auch der Preis, doch was zählt der schon wenn es um den Hund geht.
