Very good mute, works great as straight and cup mute
This is a very good straight and cup mute, but do know that if you intend to use the cup part of it as a plunger mute that it will sound very different than an actual rubber plunger mute.Overall, very good and made my trips carrying around my instrument and equipment a lot easier.

First Rate build quality, excellent adjustability and versatility! If you or your student only wants one mute, this may very well be it!

Garbage
My son has played trumpet for years and needed a new cup mute. I purchased this one. He tried it but when he took the mute out, the metal bent. Mutes do NOT bend. Complete waste of money.

Cheaply made for $49
It’s fine if you really $49 for a aluminum can mute. It doesn’t sound bad but the dings and dents supper easily, it honestly should cost no more than $19 and that’s still pushing it.

This product was cheaply made and of low quality. The cup portion would not stay attached to the straight mute which made it impossible to use as a cup mute. I do not recommend this product for anyone especially not for an aspiring musician on a budget.
