It's perfect for one person. The Frother is shorter than the Norpro though. You have to be less vigorous when frothing. The advantage to this Frother is that it will fit in a smaller microwave, which I just got. I like the set.

This arrived quickly and is a good quality product. I am very pleased with it.

Perfect single machine

I am the only person in my house who drinks a morning cup of coffee or tea. I hate those expensive single serve brewers that force you to use expensive "Pods" instead of being able to choose your favorites and make up one serving as needed. A small French Press is absolutely the way to go for the best cup of morning brew! If making tea, you are free to use a loose-leaf tea instead of a tea bag, which is less costly and also makes better tea. If making coffee, you can brew it hot, or if you start your brew at night you will have a low-acid, cold brewed cup of joe in the morning. Just heat it and drink it! And now, you can make your favorite specialty drinks, complete with a frother to top it off!The BonJour La Petite French Press is an elegant and useful single serving coffee press and milk frother set. I like that it is so pretty and makes my breakfast table seem fancy. Somehow, starting the day with a meal that feels "special" sets the stage for a day that goes right, and this set is so perfect for that. I must tell you that these brewing vessels are SMALL. So small, in fact, the they will fit onto a butter dish! I wanted to keep them together on a little tray and found an old butter dish whose lid had been broken long ago, and I found out that my butter dish was the right size for both of these little carafes. So if you want more than ONE CUP, or if you are brewing drinks for two or more people, this will absolutely NOT do for you! However if you are a single person who needs one cup to wake you up in the morning, this will be just right. It will make an 8-10 oz cup, with a little bit of room left for the press to sit on top. And the frother holds about 4 oz of liquid with plenty of room for the agitation and expansion that is necessary when the liquid expands.This set gets 4 stars instead of 5 because of the quality of the very thin and very fragile glass. Like the majority of French Presses, the BonJour is delicate and you will have to be careful. It is rare to find a French Press that has durable, sturdy glass, so you would probably have a hard time finding anything better.I am posting a photo of my set on the butter dish so you can see exactly how small it is. Very pretty and very small. That is why it is called La Petite!

Perfect for small servings of frothed French press coffee. I love French press coffee and frothed milk (latte style) but I often drink only one cup in the morning. This combo set is perfect for me without wasting coffee. These are heat tempered glass containers which are very well built. Boiled water or milk can be poured into either container without worrying about breakage. I also put the frother (without its' cover) into the microwave to heat up milk with no problems. The French press cannot be put into the microwave because it contains metal parts. The French press does not leak coffee grounds into the coffee when used as directed.If you need to make a single cup or two cups of French press coffee with frothed milk, this is the perfect combination. Highly recommended!

The listing for this 3-cup French press led me to expect a much larger container. When I opened the box I was surprised to see just how small both components of this set actually are. I suppose the phrase "European coffee" in the item's description might explain the size. Dividing the coffee and frothed milk could probably produce 3 small cups.The press and frother themselves seem to be well made and work exactly as described. The carafe of the frother has no metal and could be placed in the microwave to warm the milk if desired. The user may need to adjust coffee portions to his own taste. The three scoops recommended in the directions was just a tad strong for my personal preference. The frother worked well and produced a nearly full container of froth. It is a bit messy and milk escaped around the pump handle and dripped on the counter when poured. It is easy to clean if rinsed immediately after use.This set would work well for preparing a small amount of coffee when one does not want to brew an entire pot. It could also be handy during a power outage if heated water was available.

I own a larger stainless steel French Press which works great. I am the only coffee drinker, so this smaller unit has come in handy.The milk foam press was what excited me! The ad said it worked best with low or non fat milk and since I am lactose sensitive I drink almond and coconut milk--low fat versions of both. I thought I would be able to make a nice Thai inspired drink, but it did not foam with coconut milk. The almond milk worked a little better, not sure why, but it worked the best with cow milk. Rats!I can't knock the press because I asked it to process plant based milk and it didn't offer that option. It does make a delicious cup of coffee and will foam with dairy milk. It may work with others, but the three are what I had on hand.I would definitely recommend it if you drink dairy milk...nice product.
