The amount I ordered is good fit for me as I really do not need too many black cardamoms. I prefer the smaller green ones. However, we are getting only 6 or so pods. If the price was a bit lower, this would have been perfect! The overall quality of the product is actually very good. The pods, when crushed, has a nice aroma, perfect for rich South Asian dishes. I like the quality, but I cannot say the same about the price.

Beautiful fresh cardamom pods. I prefer whole pods as they last & stay fresh so much longer. They are fragrant & taste so good if you lightly toast them before grinding. Absolutely beautiful flavor. Also really nice to put on your stove in a little simmering pot of water w/ cinnamon sticks & other sweet spices. Your house will,smell so good, like someone's been baking all day. I highly recommend this cardamom. Whole pods are so much better than flavorless ground spices. Give them a try.

I needed this cardamom pods because I love to cook pilaf rice and this spice is just perfect. But I forgot to see the weight info when I made the purchase. The picture here in comparison with the original is huuuuge! Inside the box are literally 6 pods. So first I was like whaaat? O.O But after I read again the order, I can see the weight (0.2 ounces)Was my fault because I was looking for the most economic pods but without thinking about the weight-price relation. So the next time I'm going to read the whole information and pay more attention. The pods are very good quality.

At first I was kinda mad that I had purchased them reading the reviews about them being so small. So to put it all to rest as to what you really are getting I took pics. Yes they are small, but exactly what they describe. Each package contains a lot of cardamon pods. I bought them to make Pho, they will last me a long time for my needs. I will probably freeze them to be able to keep them. And they are organic and nicely packaged.

There are only like 5 or 6 pods per box. Order accordingly. I didn’t need these for anything with specific quality requirements, but they worked well for chili oil scenting. They are very pungent, I stored them in a small glass jar after opening the little baggy.

You can imagine receiving a box that size of your thumb nail - in this case SIX pods! Yes, the quality is fine, but really, really overpriced for the amount you get. I cannot recommend this product :(

In size of the package and quality of the spice. Good stuff, with a pungent, complex nose, just like good black cardamom should have. There are, by the way, three colors and flavors of cardamom out there - Green, Black, and white. White is nothing more than bleached green, used for things where you don’t want the color involved - That said, the flavor is that stuff has been universally disappointing to me so far. Green is the most common, and has a complex, herbaceous profile all its own. Black cardamom is smokier and darker, which makes it Greta for savory stuff, but not so much for sweets. Cardamom is central to Indian and Middle Eastern cuisines, and peripherally to some Chinese regional cooking.
