From the pictures I was hoping this shield went across the top of the headlights too, but it doesn't. It installed great with no drilling, I dropped one of the screws they give you, so I am one screw short, but this thing still holds tight onto the hood. The holes all lined up and it looks alright. My one wish is that it did go across the headlights and not just the middle portion of the hood. Quality, fit and installation are excellent - just me and my fussy tastes. I am still not sure what to think of which one would look better. This one has a sportier "trimmed" look where the other may look bulky. So, I either need to buy a new one, or get over it.

Easy to install, fits well and seems sturdy. However, I was not impressed with how it looks because it doesn't cover the whole front part of the hood (at least I don't think it does). Others have said it fits like it should and actually makes the front of the RAV4 look better. As far as stopping or deflecting bugs - not much, but when they come in from higher up I'd need a laser to stop them from smearing my windshield. And, again, others have said it is doing its job. So be it. I've had one on many other vehicles I've owned so it stays.

Love the way it looked on my 2007 RAV4 Limited. It fits right and protects the hood from rocks. It keeps some bugs off the hood and lower windshield. It is not designed to completely keep bugs off your windshield. Very easy to install. The only issue with my order was that it was short one pair of attachment.

Keep those rock chips off your hood! If you live in the salt belt (like Minnesota; whenever it snows .00001" MNDOT dumps 50 billion tons of salt and ground up Justin Bieber CD's on the road) this hood shield will help keep part of the hood looking new. Fits perfectly on my 2012 RAV4. So easy to install a monkey could put it on. Well, maybe not a monkey that suffered a massive head injury due to roller skating in front of a cement truck, but even I installed this hood shield in under 10 minutes. TECH TIP: the little plastic screws/clips/push in fasteners that come with the shield do push right in. Don't be an idiot (like me) and try to actually screw them in- just push! And I also didn't install the 4 little rubber circle stick on thingies because I can't possibly see this shield flexing that much. Maybe if you modded your RAV4 to go 200mph (ho-boy would I like to see that) then the shield may come in contact with the hood. A highly recommended accessory for your RAV4!

I have to drive on a highway that is under construction and I always hear the little stones bouncing off my windshield from the car driving in front me. That's on a daily basis because they work at night and I guess they can't remove every little stone... Since I installed this, I have not heard any so they really do work! I am very happy with it and it looks good too! Thanks

Bought a used RAV4 and 200k of highway miles had taken its toll on the front lip, including some dings and dents. Rather than try fix it and try blend paint, this deflector came to the rescue to mask all the imperfections. The plastic tabs did not all go in, so I had to almost use them as a push pin and lock them in. Besides that, it fit perfectly and so far so good.

I installed this on a 2010 Rav4. I have installed other bug deflectors on different vehicles. This brand is not as "good" as the more expensive brands but it is still a good buy. I prefer this over the stick down type deflectors. The material has decent thickness and a nice gap between the car hood and the deflector so you can clean in between. If it wasn't for the cheap plastic mounting push tabs, the install would have only taken 2 minutes. Instead, I struggled with it a bit. I could only manage to screw in one tab, push in 2 others and one was impossible to use, so I tossed it into the garbage. I replaced it with a proper automotive push in tab which literally took a second. Alcohol wipes are included as well as plastic bumper tabs that sit in between the deflector and the hood to prevent scratching. I recommend the product but be prepared to replace the mounting pins. I would have given it 5 stars if the mounting pins were better and if it extended slightly more over the headlights.
