It truly is Yoga for everyone!
I love this little yoga book so much I used to borrow it over and over again from my local Library right down the street. When I saw this book on Amazon, you know I just had to get my own copy! So glad that I had this opportunity to do so. I have physical disabilities and this book has been so helpful! It lives up to it's name Happy Go Yoga

Clear, easy to understand, helpful illustrations. Great for someone like me, who needs to gently get back into a practice!
Let me preface this by saying I am very out of practice with my yoga, have had injuries, and need to slowly and gently get back into a practice - but I am also short on time and on money for classes. This book is a really helpful start! I recently brought it with me through the stress of holiday travel and I actually did some of the "Travel Buddies" poses while on the plane and in my hotel. They were subtle, gentle (which I need) and effective! I am also trying some of the "Sunny-Side Up" poses to help me stretch and feel better as I wake up in the AM. The illustrations are really helpful and the directions are clear, easy to understand, and definitely help you move through each pose in a step-by-step fashion. This is probably not intended to take the place of a full yoga practice, but it is a REALLY GREAT way to get back into some simple and gentle poses and/or to incorporate some of what you may already know into an already busy routine. Really glad I bought this!! :)

Fantastic for any level of experience with yoga
This great book serves as a perfect manual to turn to whenever you're experiencing a bit of pain. Falling back on her extensive knowledge of yoga, Chen shows, with easy to look at illustrations, and explains basic moves (based on yoga poses) people can incorporate into their daily lives. I have used this guide to help my husband (who would never dream of doing yoga!) address his aching back after a day at the computer. Each move is presented with options for different levels of flexibility making it appropriate and helpful for all. As a teacher, I use it in a middle school classroom to help kids work out the inevitable kinks from sitting behind desks most of the day. I also use some of the moves at my desk throughout the day. While I move frequently, I still find this book indispensable. Try it -- it does not disappoint!!

If You Care About Your Body, You Need to Read This Book
A must read for anyone that cares about their body and wants to get the most out of it. Whether you're a person who hasn't tried yoga before to a seasoned yogi, you'll find this book helpful, informative and thought provoking; I never imagined I could do yoga on the NYC subway and not get weird looks from my fellow straphangers!Christine wonderfully explains and explores how you can use yoga in almost any place and at any time during your daily life, even if you only have a few minutes a day. The instructions and illustrations are very easy to follow and Christine gives you plenty of information on why these poses are important and even some background on how they helped throughout her own life. I've used it numerous times while coming back from various injuries and found the simple poses a breath of fresh air when I was out of the studio.Keep up the great work, Christine.-David

Happy-Go-Yoga Rocks!!
Happy-Go-Yoga is hands down the best, most accessible, and most FUN yoga book I have ever purchased. It is a rare gem in that it truly fulfills the promise that yoga is for "everyone." These poses don't require fancy yoga pants or even a mat. All they require is an open mind, an open heart, a sense of humor, and the breath. And isn't that what yoga is all about, anyway? I use this book all the time, and am having a blast incorporating yoga into my subway rides and household chores. I have given this as a gift to those who are newer to yoga, including my mom, and everyone is raving. I've even brought it into my classroom (I'm an English teacher) and my students connect so quickly to it. Some of these poses, like Rock Your Heart, have become an integral part of our class time. Thank you, Christine, for sharing your wisdom, light, and joy in this wonderful book!!

It Makes Me Happy!
Christine does a wonderful job of sharing poses that are quick and easy to fit into a busy schedule. I can pull out the book and find just what I need to recenter myself or get a bit of movement into a sedentary day. I have been using her techniques as brain breaks with my students while teaching remotely, and I have been leading stretching breaks in staff meetings with them as well. If you need to add joy and reduce stress in your day, this book will help!

A GREAT READ (even for non-yoga, high-intensity types)
Like the author, I didn’t care for yoga when I first tried it, and was convinced cardio and high-impact exercise were better ways to de-stress from a busy marketing professional / mom schedule. However, when I saw firsthand her transition from super-busy, Emmy-winning journalist to a more happy, carefree yogi, I figured why not give it another shot? With a hectic schedule, I started small with Happy-Go-Yoga poses on the bus to the office or at home when I’ve had to work late on deadlines. The “Eagle Twist”, “Counter Pose” and “Road Warrior I” are my staples, but what really turned a corner for me was incorporating a yoga class once a week into my routine. After several months, I see the positive difference in my outlook and ability to deal with daily work/life balance. Thank you, Christine, for showing us workaholics the importance of scheduling “me time” anywhere and anytime through #happygoyoga

Fun and Practical
Amazing ways to work yoga, de-stressing and relaxation into everyday life. Can't decide whether I should keep it in my desk, in my car, or in my purse... maybe I should just buy several more copies and stash one in every place I frequent:)!?! Highly Recommended!

Not as Expected
A rather cheap presentation overall. Page illustrations look kind of grainy and not the best sketches either, kind of amateurish. The yoga "poses" are ok but nothing that really appealed to me personally and I do hatha yoga on a regular basis. I would call these more like being just stretches. That's all good, but is it actually yoga? I bought as a gift but I'm planning to return it.IHelpful votes are most appreciated.🙂

It's a good book just not what I was looking for. Maybe I will find it more useful in time.
