Who's Your Hero Book Of Mormon Stories Applied To Children Volume 1

We owned both of these books and somehow lost our copy of this one. It was good enough to buy again. It goes to church with us, and is just great for anytime.

I've been thinking lately about how to get my almost 5 year old boy more engaged in scripture study as we have started gearing our family study more for our older kids. This book is fabulous and worth every single cent. It includes great "application" pages with illustrations showing how to apply the simplified principle for each "hero" to their lives and at their levels. Then at the end of each hero's story is a gold mine of resources that includes pertinent Friend stories, FHE ideas, and lots of other resources related to reinforcing the simple concepts presented. Such an excellent book. I can't gush about this enough. Even my 8-year-old son was entertained by the great and humorous illustrations. Super, 5-star purchase. Thanks David Bowman!

I have several little boys that LOVE his books. I'm so glad they decided to reprint them. We inherited an old "Who's Your Hero?" from my parents, but I could justify spending >$60 for the other volumes, used. The Ultimate Collection Volume one is a compilation of all his stories from the first half of the Book of Mormon with a couple of extra stories. We got it in the mail today, sat down and read several and re-read one for FHE. Thank you for making these stories so accessible to kids and fun to read. Thank you, David Bowman!

I am obviously, a few years behind in ordering this for my 8,6,and 4 year old children, but as the saying goes, "better late than never" and I'm certainly going to toot that horn for finally having ordered this book. I'd like to brag for oh, one little minute. While the illustration is a little on the exaggerated side (way, way cartoony), I am so drawn to the layout of how this book is formatted: sections divided up color-coded, big print on the first page of each section so that even your most novice readers can sound out the name of whoever the section is dedicated to, wonderfully summed-up stories with scriptural accuracy, and at the end of each section, a group of questions and activities that SCREAM successful FHE nights. I'm tremendously grateful to the creators of this children's-friendly, magnum opus masterpiece for children- it really beats the archaic 1970's scripture picture books we had to sift through as children. Wonderful work, thank you!

I love everything about this topic, this book and the author/artist!

Our kids love this book! My husband takes it home teaching to families with kids. He sits on the floor and reads to them and they love to hear the stories and look at the artwork. The kids love looking for the little mouse that is in most every picture.

These books are super fun for my kids. The love looking for the little mouse that hides in the pictures. The illustrations are bright and fun, and we usually have a little conversation about each story and lesson after reading. I would recommend them for young to about 10 years old.

My child loves this book. For me, the illustrations were a little overwhelming at first, but it is so well written and demonstrates how great lessons from the scriptures can be applied to life. Written for young children to understand.
