Hi, what kind of feeling is it? silky or cotton-like? I know it's polyester but i am going to use it to cover my sofa and don't want a silky feeling

It's like polycotton - more poly than cotton

How do you use the pins for it?

I didn't use pins, I bought some cheap wood and made a frame for it. Its stands freely on it's own against a wall. But I have other wall hangings where I have wrapped the top part of the fabric around a light thin piece of wood, and hung like a picture frame.
