Solid
Arrived well packaged and undamaged. The items are well built and I used them to hang drywall in a 400sf home theater. Hat channel went in securely after using tounge and groove pliers. Drywall going up soon so I'll update this review to compare against a section of basement that's just using resilient channel.

Only use the specified hat track per the manufacturer or the track could uncouple from the clip.
So good. But I had trouble releasing the genie from the clip. Once I did he only gave me one wish. But that's fine because my wish was to reduce the vibration and sound transmission from people walking upstairs. And it worked.

These clips work wonders, but soundproofing is always best when done from above
I recently bought a bunch of these clips to reduce the impact noise coming from an aloof upstairs neighbor. Now that everything is installed, I can honestly say that while the noise level is much better than it was, I’m still able to hear footsteps coming from above. In order to fully soundproof my unit, the upstairs neighbor would need to install proper floor soundproofing. If you’re like me, and in a situation where this is much easier said than done, then I would recommend the GenieClips as a viable alternative to a cooperative and considerate upstairs neighbor. Oh, and tearing out the ceiling is a bunch of work. So be prepared for all that. Enjoy!
