READ THIS IF YOU HAVE READ THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!
UPDATE:I have now had this up for almost 6 weeks and it looks just as good as when I first put it up! There has been no issues with peeling or tearing. I have had a couple people ask me if I got new windows because you can't tell that it is stuck on.Alright I have to put a few things straight after reading several negative reviews. I have noticed several user errors. It is incredibly important to READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS before putting this on your window. There were several reviews that said that the film would not stick to their window however if you remove the backing on it before placing it on the wet window it does stick perfectly. Also, I noticed another review where somebody said that they sent it back because it was see-through and didn't look anything like the pictures, however, once you place it on the window and it has light on it the look of it changes. One more thing that I will say is that it does have really great privacy. When standing outside you can see shadows but you cannot see any detail. I would not recommend this if you are using it in a bathroom though. I did attach a picture of what it looks like unrolled and what it looks like installed.

Worked beautifully - easy to install - not cheap film covering
I was leary on how this would work. It was easy to install and still allows a lot of light to come in. My pets might not be thrilled that they can't people watch. My dog doesn't bark near as much. I am thrilled because I don't feel like I am being watched non stop and can leave my blinds opens. They still allow the silloettes to be seen but it masks a lot of the clarity. It does great during daytime and even works well at night when it is dark outside and lights are on inside. It will not block out everything but works perfect for what I wanted it for. Will be ordering more now that I have tried it. I do have to say when I first opened the package and looked through the film I was concerned it would not conceel anything but once installed it was what I expected when I ordered it. I have included a picture of the front of my home at just about dark. One window has been filmed, one not. The light is on inside the house. My husband is sitting right inside the room where the filmed window is. I didn't include the picture where he is sitting right inside the uncovered window but trust me...you could see him clearly. Does what we need it to do! :)

Absolutely beautiful privacy!
Seriously beautiful! I thought it looked 'just okay' on the roll, but now that it's on our back door it is amazing! It's prismatic (but not over the top rainbow) so it has almost a scale-like sheen to it. It's the perfect way to let lots of light in but not be completely transparent. And not to mention make our kitchen look beautiful!

Excellent privacy screen
Exactly what I was looking for! Was super easy to apply, didn't even need the tool to squeeze out the bubbles, just used my hand! Applied to the front door side lite, and blocks unwanted visitors from glaring into my castle. A moat just simply won't do these days :).

Adds some real beauty and pop of color to the baby room! Material is beautiful and easy to work with.
The media could not be loaded. This is amazing stuff, for the price. It's beautiful to look at and adds some privacy. You can still see through if you try really hard but all you will see are silhouettes. The material is easy to work with and very forgiving. You can peel it off and reapply it as many times as necessary to get it perfect. No squeegee is included but you really don't need one. I used a towel and got the same exact results with no more effort than I would normally give with a squeegee. With no light it's a little bland but still adds privacy. When it's light out it truly shines and is gorgeous to look at. Just be prepared to clean your window thoroughly, cut the film exact with a razor sharp blade (or else it'll drag the material) or pair of scissors, and take your time applying and getting the air bubbles out.For 10 bucks at the time of this review this is a steal. Well worth the purchase price. I highly recommend it.

Not your Grandma's stactic window cover.
This window cover is beautiful. It is high quality, thick plastic, installs easily, and has relief (you can feel the design etched in). Plus at this price, as compared to the other high quality covers, cannot be beat. The size I ordered, 3ftx 6.5ft, covered two 12 in x 72 in windows and an oval window that was 32in x 55in. It is sticking wonderfully, just follow the directions. Clean your windows and apply a lot of soapy water to your window as you install it. It will literally float around as you put it in place. As for how it looks, I was worried that it would be a flat sheet of plastic with the lines drawn on like a lot of cheap, fake looking ones I have seen. It is not. It is actually a good replication of etched glass. It shines beautifully when the sun shines through (which it does clearly, the light is not diminished), and in the evening when the hall light is on. The colors reflected are a true rainbow hue; like in a prism. It does not block the view inside the house. You can still see people behind the window, and in the evening you will be seen, just not in detail (forms can be made out, but unless someone is at the door/ window, they can't see what you are wearing, etc). So this is not for super privacy, for that I suggest a frosted glass look. This particular design lends itself to trimming mistakes. I get nit picky about these kind of things, and there are definitely areas that I did not trim as cleanly as others. I thought I was going to have to redo one of the windows because of it, but when I stepped back it was completely unnoticeable. I actually had to look for the areas, so a casual observer would have no idea.TL;DR: Overall this is a great value. The price is great compared to others, looks are far superior to anything I have ever seen, made of quality material, installs easily (follow instructions), and lends itself to trimming mistakes. I am totally satisfied with my purchase.(1 year update: Still looks fantastic, no fading, no cracking, no peeling. Most people have no idea it is cling film, and express surprise when they find out. *if they came over prior to installation they know it's plastic. if they are new visitors and compliment the windows, i tell them it is cling film and they are amazed. still 100% satisfied with my purchase)

Beautiful and great value.
I've been wanting something to put on my windows to gain some privacy, whilst still allowing light in, as these windows face a fairly busy street. Previously I mostly had the blinds down.During the day I feel it sufficiently obscures enough for me to be happy to have my blinds drawn back.During the the night time, when you have the lights on indoors, you're able to see more (from outside looking in). But that doesn't bother me so much as I can just close the blinds at night. In addition to this I think the sticker is really beautiful. When the sun shines through it creates rainbow patterns across the room, and during the night it looks like jewels are covering the window. It was fairly easy to apply - with a helping hand. However I would have appreciated grid lines on the back, as it was challenging measuring correctly and cutting it straight.Overall I'm really happy with this sticker. Very good value.

Dog proof window dressing
I wanted something to cover my front window which is 234 cms wide so it's big. Our big rescue dog had destroyed 2 sets of vertical blinds leaving dirty muddy paw prints on ripped blinds. I needed to stop folk from looking in, stop big dog from barking at every living thing that passes but not block out all the light. I want sure about this film as it isn't expensive and I was sure it would fall off. But even if it just lasted over Christmas it would do for now. But it's brilliant and looks great! I struggled as I did it by myself and could have done with an extra pair of hands but that was only due to the size of my window. I cleaned the inside of the window then applied warm soapy water. I started at the top left and partly removed the backing film. I got some really strong tape and temporarily taped the other end to the window to take the weight (extra hands needed here) I used a long steel ruler and craft knife to roughly cut the film to size then removed the rest of the backing paper while using a rubber squeedgy i smoothed out the bubbles. The tape wasn't needed anymore so removed that. I cut it more accurately again using the rule and craft knife and went over with the squeedgy. I had a few bubbles when the warm water dried but they smoothed out. It looks great. The dog can only see shapes so doesn't bark as much..altho he can see me coming in wearing my orange hi viz work fleece! No more tatty blinds. I would recommend getting someone to help if using on a large window but if you don't rush putting it on it can look really good. If it doesn't stick peel back and put more water on.

Great idea if it worked
I really want to like this product unfortunately it let itself down on a couple of points.Cutting to size is not a problem, grab a sharp Stanley knife and your away. However, I must of spent a good 3 hours with soapy water, squeegee and a hairdryer trying to get this film to remain stuck in one place. The film comes tightly rolled and tries to curl up when applied to the window. To try and counter this re-rolling, (we purchased x2 of these) on the second roll we tried hanging the product from one end with a weight running along the bottom for a few days to try and straighten before application, this did not help.We did get one window covered with the product and it stayed in place for a good 7 hours before curling up and falling to the floor. At this point we decided enough was enough and returned the product.Probably the biggest problem I have with this product is it doesn't really have the opacity to obscure anything behind it properly, you don't want to be walking round naked with only this film for privacy!

I can open my curtains again!
Some months before Christmas, I noticed that whenever I let my dog out into the garden before bed for a supervised toilet break, that one of the neighbours whose garden backs onto mine would always turn on one of their lights and watch what I and my dog were doing. For a little while I thought nothing of it, until I caught sight of the nosy woman looking at us through all my back windows too. I resorted to keeping my curtains closed, but for somebody who enjoys having a sunlit home (and a dog that likes to sunbathe indoors as well as outside), it really started to niggle me. I was changing when last-toilet was for my dog too, but it made no difference. She was always there within a few seconds of my opening the back door. WATCHING.I bought just one roll to begin with and put it up on my French doors that allow access in and out of the garden. I spotted the woman watching us, but she stopped within a minute or two as soon as this privacy film was up. "Ah," I thought. "It's not US she's watching. It's what's inside my house!" What a nosy cow. Anyway:It was very easy to install. Instead of faffing about with a spray bottle (I don't own one unless it has cleaning product in it), I used an antibacterial wipe to wipe down the glass pane, and then left the watery residue from that on the pane and positioned the privacy film atop it. Worked a treat!I've now bought a few more rolls and treated my living room's back window with the privacy film too. I forgot to measure for that (it's glass panes are a bit wider than the French doors') but it was easily enough solved - I cut the privacy film so it would stop on the centre of the pane, where a white divider separates the glass outside. That nicely hid that I'd had to cut a little more than on the French Door's pieces. All in all, I'm very happy with the result. I look forward to seeing how the nosy cow reacts now I've added it to another window, haha! With a bit of luck, this'll be the end of it.

Doesn’t stick well
I got this to cover the side windows as I noticed a nosy neighbour. It’s beautiful when the sun shines through it, throwing rainbow colours on the walls.I have a different version I used on some cupboard doors which is far better than this. It doesn’t stick and seal well to the windows despite me following instructions. I’ve had to tape a couple of edges to stop it from peeling off.
