Pagan Tarot Kit Review: A Beautiful Deck With Storytelling Imagery and Great Card Descriptions - Personally, I think this deck is great for those learning tarot who want a break from the traditional Rider Waite visuals to help them understand the cards more. I fell in love with this deck as soon as I saw it online and I really connected with it once I got it in my hands for several reasons: 1) I love the refreshing, modern visuals used on each card. As I am still learning about tarot, seeing each card contextualized in a way that is more relevant to the modern world is a great help in understanding and memorizing its message. Additionally, the cards are all focused on the main character and tie in to one overarching story throughout the deck (some cards even follow a sequence of events). This is extremely helpful in grasping the meaning of each card and their relationships to each other. The cards stray off the traditional Rider Waite imagery, which is actually great, as seeing them depicted in an alternative way helps you see a more rounded story for better understanding. 2) I adore the style of the illustrations along with the purple border on the bottom - it just gives off a cozy feeling. 3) The guidebook is a gem - there is a description of what is going on in each card's scene for clarity, as well as the main message of the card. Certain descriptions gave me a new perspective and understanding of the cards they pertained to and helped the meanings stick in my mind much better. I did see a few mistakes in the guidebook, however, including grammar errors, random indents of the second paragraph, and references to parts of the cards that were off (Ex: The Fool card is described as showing the witch in a blindfold, although she does not have one on. The Chariot card says the car the witch is leaning on is red, although it is white). I'm a Virgo, so details like that always stand out to me, but it's not a huge deal and kind of makes it fun to find the small errors. Overall, the deck and guidebook are treasures! Review: Great deck and book - I know Gina personally and bought her Pagan Deck when it first came out. I was thrilled to see she wrote a companion book so I had to buy it. I didn’t need the cards that came with it but they are a new version so was happy for that. These cards are amazing to read if you follow a pagan path. Even if you don’t you will find them interesting. The pictures are more modern than most of your tarot decks. I fell in love with it when I saw the modern life depicted.

bad cardstock
Edit: after about a week of only sporadic use this deck is literally falling apart. I so rarely feel the need to ask for my money back but this is one of those situations. The deck is really beautiful but the quality is shockingly bad. Original review: I like the art and the interpretation of the meanings in the artwork, except for elementals - they are all very ugly. Some cards are exceptional like The Hierophant, for example. However, I'd still give this deck 5 stars, because the book is also very VERY good but I am not going because the cardstock is awful. Cards are thick but bend very easily. I shuffled it a couple of times and it's already deformed.
