Arrived very quickly. Perfect condition. Love the book couldn't set it down. His voice is very unique and I like the way he thinks outside of the box. I even took it on a business flight with me and the lady beside me asked if she could see it. As the title grabbed her attention. (The Holy Spirit had me flashing her with the cover a bit too I could tell something was at work there). She got into it immediately and wanted to order one so I gave her my copy and bought another. Totally recommended!!

wOw, this is a very special book. I am so encouraged, as the author confirms so much of what has been in my thoughts and spirit. God is creative and will not be put in a box. Being restless and creative, I have often been discouraged by my inability to play church and do well with the rituals. No disrespect to anyone, but God made me creative, easily distracted with a need to be genuine with God and life.Thank you, Mr. Wilson, I am so encouraged!

Not done reading this yet, but I really enjoy the way the author writes, it's very laid back like he's just having a conversation with you. Very nice humor and informative stuff about the Bible as well.I'm glad I got this.

Though not a scholarly work of theology and detailed exegesis, Darren Wilson's book highlights many of the personal interactions figures of the Bible had with God in order to discern the personality and character of God. He tackles even the harder passages where one could, and people have made mistakes concerning God's intentions and/or actions. Throughout the book I found myself comparing the concepts he was raising to my own interaction with God and in doing so found more insight into what was occurring in my life with God. The key idea that God desires, yes even pursues an intimate relationship/friendship with us, if we are willing, is shown throughout. Simple, though profound, Darren has shown that the Almighty God, Maker of heaven and earth is our Father, our "Papa God" who deserves our reverential worship and desires our friendship. Balanced and yet edgy you will be challenged by this book!

Darren Wilson addresses questions that most of us want to ask but are too polite (or afraid) to ask - like, what's up with the Abraham sacrificing his son deal? Describing how he developed (and is still developing) a friendship with the creator of the universe, with humor sprinkled in just the right places, Darren opens an avenue for all of us to have the same sort of relationship with the best friend a person could ever want or need. While he titles his book, "Finding God in the Bible," I think the word "friend" could be in there as well. I highly recommend you read and re-read this book. I've already purchased a second copy to give away--it's that good!

Great book. An honest look at bible passages from a human perspective. Darren is very easy to relate to. This book is easy to understand and fun to read while portraying the love and awesomeness of the Father God

Just started reading this, and enjoying it so much. Its a good read, easy flowing, with great revelation. The opening chapter talks about creativity being in the opening verse of the Bible. And how a church without creativity is like a zombie,dead. So in my opinion the author of this book is kind of like Rick Grimes saving people from a zombie, walkers world, and releasing creativity all over. Make sure you check out the authors movies and other books too

I'm a very imaginative person and when I read the Bible, I like to sometimes close my eyes during a scene and just delve into what it looked like, what were the emotions, what were some other responses that weren't recorded...etc...This book delved into why God said and did things the way He did them. It was a great pondering book. There were times I might politely disagree with Darren's assessment, but who cares. We are supposed to explore the depths of His love.A good read for the intellectual reader or an imaginative one.

If you have seen any of Darrens films you will know the raw and personal way He operates with truth and love that is far too rare than it should be.Anyway here is a book that takes you through some of the stranger stories of the Bible as in the ones that Sunday School often teach but not in the depth that Darren is about to take you if your willing enough to buy and read this powerful book. Darren as usual is honest in his narrative and will touch a familiarity that you may recognise in part if not all. He talks about some of God's friends and how are well know if you have any knowledge of the Bible and if you haven't its o.k. as you get a introduction that is far better that those from Sunday School as you will have your eyes open to the hidden story that a Father tells His sons and friends rather than the bedtime story many may have heard. So in plain English this is a great book that opens up to reveal the heart of GOD and had certainly helped me to get closer to GOD and I'm wanting to read more from Darren and a lot more of the Bible.So yes i really do recommend this book to you, for me it's money well spent.

Outstanding. This is an eye-opening, thought provoking and intelligent book which explores God's boundless and faithful love for His friends and It's impossible to read this book without wanting desperately to be counted among them. An excellent, heart-filling read.

Great book, now watch his films

This was by far the best book I've ever read that brings the living God of the Bible to life. As Christians, we know we are supposed to develop a personal relationship with God, which often seems difficult unless you approach it from the point of view of friendship. And that's what Finding God in the Bible is all about--as well as making sense of some of the crazy episodes found in Scripture--which I enjoyed immensely! This book felt like a suspense thriller, in that I could not put it down. Blessing to this author, and I hope he continues to write more books like this, which inspire one to dive into the Bible, and more fully understand God's love letter to us.

I highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know more about God and how he interacts with characters like you and me in the old and new testament. Bless you
