Sumiko Oyster MM Cartridge

Awesome entry-level audiophile cartridge for the price. Sounds great on my Technics SL-D3. I have a friend who outdid me and ordered the Sumiko Pearl and the performance is hardly noticeable for the cost difference, FYI. One thing that drew me to this cartridge was the widespread ability of stylus replacements for this particular cartridge.

This cart was easy to install in standard AT head shell of my old Technics 3300 turntable.Tracking at a hair over 2 grams sound is noticeably wider & more detailed. Of course all listening descriptors are highly subjective. Your results will vary..

This is a quality needle for a good price.

Still waiting for it to arrive, shipped but transit delays. I hear good things about this cartridge and the styli is easy and affordable to replace

Not a huge upgrade from the Shure cartridge I was using before, but nevertheless reproduces the sounds I'd expect to hear in a quality if expect for this price. I've only listened to maybe 30 sides with it so far, I'd be curious if it still has some reasonable breaking in to do to gain a fifth star.

To my ear, this cart almost sounds like a shure m91ed, maybe a tiny bit less bass. Mid to high is clear, and overall, an excellent upgrade to a 3600l. Currently living on my brother's oneby1
