Good for a foot massage
Many years ago there was a Japanese shop in Birmingham from which I purchased my first pair of these sandals, I wore them daily until there were no rubber spikes left just hollows in the foot bed where I had worn them out. That was some years ago now and I had been unable to find them in shops this country until recently, these are pretty much the same as my original Japanese ones, but don't seem to be of quite the same quality. They do provide a nice relief to aching feet though just the same, once you are accustomed to them you will find that they gradually become more comfortable; to wear, (start by wearing them for short periods with socks until you are comfortable with them). They are not the cheapest but I seem to recall that my original ones were quite expensive for the time as well. You do need to be aware that Japanese shoe sizes are not the same as UK/European sizes, on average they are a shoe size smaller.

Sandals stick out too much at toe and heel
Although I ordered the same size as my shoes and trainers (as advised by the size report), and my foot fits comfortably under the straps, the sandals stick out way beyond my toes, causing me to trip as the extended sole stubs against carpets, steps etc. I have loosened the straps by one hole to compensate, but that moves my arch beyond the arch support, and there is still 35mm (1.5") of sole sticking out beyond my big toe. I have only just received them, so will give them a couple of days to check out further before returning or dumping. Regarding materials, yes they are not top class and even cheap, but did anyone really expect crafted leather for £35?

Relief at last
I was sceptical about these sandals at first, but they have definitely helped with my planta faciitis. My heel is still tender but the extreme pain I was having is now just tenderness. I wear them for about 4 hours a day, stared with socks on first then when I got used to the pressure nodules, the socks came off!I am a size 6 and the sizing was 6 to 7. Its more of a seven, so if you are a true 6, go for size 5 to 5 1/2.

Amazing sole, cheap upper
I have very flat feet so usually wear custom orthotics, and 2 Morton’s neuromas in one foot so am pretty crippled. These soles are amazing - they support my arch, relieve the neuroma pain and I now wear them all day every day. I would give 5 stars but the upper is cheap, plasticky and I’d expect better for the price. However the comfort outweighs this - just ordered the slippers!

Excellent replacement for loved pair
Bought these to replace a previous pair which after two years daily wear had lost their effectiveness, these didn’t have a heel strap and I was concerned they might slip off. However worries unfounded and they are as good as previous pair. My Morton’s neuroma is a thing of a dim memory.

Painful
Once you get used to them they help! I’m recovering from a broken foot & have fibromyalgia, after a bout a month I feel the benefits but at first pain was intense from these sandals.

Wierdly extremely comfy & energising
Prompt delivery & well packaged, used Amazon collect at my local post office which is a brilliant service. Very well made, super comfortable and I wear them around the house to get used to them and break them in a little but they are so comfortable I needn't have bothered. They are my go to summer footwear.

You have to get use to it…
It is something different, if you never wear before massage based sandals. Honestly sometimes feel refreshing sometimes feel painful … I guess because of it touching the critical point. … so you can start your journey learning more about your body 🤔 or return it, if you could not accept the reality 😉
