Klorane Shampoo with Nettle for Oily Hair and Scalp, Helps Regulate Oil Production, Paraben, Silicone, SLS Free

Nettle is supposed to have antiinflammatory properties which might be why this shampoo claims to reduce oil production. I did notice my scalp didn't itch as much after using this shampoo for about a week. This lead to not feeling the overwhelming need to wash my hair. For me itchy head means scratching which leads more irritation leading to excess oil production and dirt from fingers making hair icky. I am now comfortably able to wash my hair every other day and could go longer if I didn't despise dry shampoo. Maybe with time. I did try the Klorane nettle mask but it wasn't for me. My scalp felt like there was build up from the mask. I recently went on a week long trip and brought other shampoo. I was swimming and washing my hair daily. My scalp was not happy. After returning home, I used a clarifying shampoo and started Klorane nettle shampoo again. My scalp felt better right away. As far as moisturizing, I'd say this shampoo isn't. If I don't use conditioner on the ends my hair has lots of static. Not being moisturizing means it does rinse clean, which ensures it's not on the hair for dirt to stick to. Some reviews say it smells bad. It doesn't have a floral scent, so maybe that's what people don't like. The scent, to me, is like nettle tea...herbal, earthy and doesn't cling to my hair. My mom, sister, and husband didn't think it smelled bad either.

As beauty product developer and marketer, I’ve worked on hundreds of shampoo formulas. I recently tried the dry shampoo at Ulta and decided to buy the shampoo - I wasn’t disappointed! I love this shampoo formula for the following reasons 1. Foam density is rich but hair is still soft 2. Squeaky clean scalp but not drying 3. Botanicals to help regulate scalp sebum 3. Natural and neutral fragrance, not overwhelming

This shampoo does a great job of controlling oil, and the fresh scent is very pleasant. It’s definitely worth recommending, especially for those with oily hair or an itchy scalp. The only downside is that the value for money could be better, as the bottle size is relatively small. Overall, it’s a solid choice for those with specific hair concerns.

When my child hit puberty she suddenly because a greaser. We've always used Paul Mitchell or Matrix or whatever they have at our hair salon. Well all of a sudden, her hair looked wet every day it was so oily. So we started using this and her hair is now really shiny and glossy but not oily looking at all. It is not 100% effective against dandruff so I think there is the potential to remove TOO much oil from the scalp with this. But overall we like it.

I was looking for a shampoo that would allow me to skip a day between washes without drying out my hair excessively. This sounded like it would be perfect, but it doesn’t really work for me. The shampoo leaves a film on my hair that is impossible to completely rinse out. It gives my hair a very soft and silky feeling, but it’s actually a little too moisturizing for my hair type (fine and thin). I even tried skipping conditioner afterwards but my hair still felt like it had a slippery film on it no matter how much I rinsed it out. This might work for you if you have thicker hair than I do. I really wanted to like it, because I like my other Klorane products and I got it for half off which is really a good value. The scent is very herbal but not unpleasant, and it does leave my hair with nice body. But 24 hours after shampooing my hair feels kind of slick near the roots and I can tell that it will look greasy later in the day if I don’t wash it this morning. So no skipping a day. It seems like a nice gentle shampoo, and I will use it up, but won’t repurchase.

This shampoo works well. It is very thick and I do have to use more than I would normal shampoo but it definitely helps with oil control, I can go days without washing my hair now when I’m the past I would be greasy by day 2

UPDATE : This is the best shampoo ever ! My hair looks like it came from a beauty salon. I applied it to dirty hair the first time, it lathered poorly, the second time it was much better, there was a lot of foam, my hair washed well. After that I applied conditioner from the same company with 🥭 mango. I felt the quality of the product when I started braiding my hair at night - they were obedient and silky. My husband also complimented me that I smelled nice - although I didn't use any other products - only shampoo and conditioner. Overall, it was a pleasant experience - I used to use Italian shampoo, but you can't get it in US. This shampoo reminded me of that one and I'm happy that I found a similar one, and even cheaper.

This honestly does nothing for me. The product is very thin and does not lather up well. My hair isn’t overly greasy, but I do have to wash it every other day to prevent it from extreme build up. With that being said, it takes me washing my hair 2 times before it gets a really good lather going. The thin consistency is also a challenge to work since it easily spills out from the bottle with the slightest tilt and gets worse onto your hands. On a positive note, it doesn’t dry out my hair like some shampoos I’ve used in the past. The scent is interesting and I’m neutral on it. It smells like plant. Overall, I will not be buying this product again.

Great for a deep clean shampoo. Excellent lather. Just don't use it every day as it can be drying.
