Good Value
This pump is almost as powerful as the Simer pumps we've been using ( B000HOV8RI ) for 50% of the cost. Decided to give this pump a try because of the currently available 15% off coupon. The rear support that holds the motor up off the ground is a threaded rod with a hard plastic foot threaded onto the rod that can't be seen in the photo, not thrilled with it but it does the job. Other than that no complaints. Can't comment on longevity because we just got it but as new it works perfectly fine. Given current pricing I'd buy this pump all day long over the Simer that costs twice as much.

Good Price to Power Ratio
I was looking for an electric pump that had a perfect balance of price and power. The Lanchez 1/2 HP Shallow Well Jet Pump fit the description.Surprising sturdy (and heavy) for a 1/2 HP pump, the Lanchez features a heavy duty steel build. I needed a balance between power draw and pumping ability so that I could run this off of a battery powered generator, if necessary. At a little over 600 watts, this ought to do the job and provide all the pressure I need to water my large garden. My only criticism is that there is no nice, beefy handle to haul this tiny but heavy thing around - you have to grip it however you can. Also, rather than four legs, you have a three point set up and the third is hard plastic. A heavy rubberized footer would have been a better choice. No matter, it runs well and fairly quiet. I would purchase it again given the opportunity.
