I think Jakeman's Anise is the best cough drop ever. I don't use them very often, but when I need them, they work! Quality, I guess, does have a price, though.

I have been using Jakeman's Throat & chest Lozenge's for years. They have several flavors, Honey Lemon, Cherry, Peppermint just to name a few. Anise is an acquired taste but I find that it sooths my throat and calms my cough quickly, making it one of my favorites. I like to take one before I go to bed at night because it helps me breath so much better. I find they are a great help to me and I think you would do well to try some.

The price & product are worth for me.

Soothing to my throat and interesting taste

I had the mint kind and wanted to try anise as I’m a black licorice flavor aficionado and am very pleased with these! They are without a doubt much pricier than most cough drops but definitely worth it! I’m an online order support representative and a clear voice isn’t always ready to launch so these have come to the rescue several times. Highly recommended!

I used to use Ricola cherry honey cough drops and occasionally Chloroseptic numbing cough drops. Usually I would need more than one if I had a bad cough, and eventually these lozenges would irritate my stomach or my throat would feel tired of getting "numbed". The thing that's GREAT about Jakeman's is that it soothes your throat (I believe the anise ingredient acts as a natural pain relief) and it won't upset your stomach if you need more than one! I also use it if I just have a random scratchy throat or minor irritation during the day, and one drop usually takes it COMPLETELY away. THEY'RE AWESOME!! :) Be aware though, anise sort of tastes like black licorice so you have to be fond of that flavor (which I am) for it to be a good fit for you! Hope this helps :)

The amount not worth the price

I bought these initially for my husband as he is a big Fisherman's Friend. When I first opened the package I was a little overwhelmed by the eucalyptus but when I went back to try a week later it was just right. A nice anise flavor with a hint of menthol and eucalyptus. Doesn't knock you down and run you over like fisherman's friend. a bit pricey but nice. I will order again.

Really good. Helped cough. Only thing is, you do wait a while for delivery.

I know that I can get the other type in bags, but they are too big. Why, oh why, can I not get the old type any more!?!

Sadly it's far too late to do anythiing about this, I had the product deleivered to my Mother as a gift. During a passing conversation recently I asked if she ever finished them all, she was a bit surpsised that I doubted her ability to finish 1 packet of lozenges.
