The largest drawback on my surface pro 4 is that it only has one usb port. I have to disconnect my logitech wireless mouse before plugging in any usb drives. That's why I bought this to solve the problem. It's built specifically for SP4 so no extra wiring. Fits perfectly and works as expected.

I plug this into my surface now i can connect my surface to my monitor. It works as described.

worth of a recommendation. It matches my surface pro 5 very well. It has a similar thickness with my surface pro 5 and the exact same color. It is very smooth of plugging in and unplugging. The Hdmi hub is very useful for me to use in the commany meeting.
