Nuts in Space

This is a fun little book, and great for bed time. As adults, the book seems unfinished, since there's no concrete resolution at the end, but my little 3-yr-old thinks the ending is hilarious, and says the animals are all very silly. The pictures on the back page, with everyone giving the culprit the evil eye, is a great counterpoint to the pictures on the first page.All the trek stuff that's in the book is great, and will definitely amuse you while you're reading it. Might be a tad lost on the kids, but they'll get it eventually, I suppose :)All in all, it's a fun, slightly non-sequitur, book, aimed at kids from about 3 to 12, where any kids below about 6 will be reading it with mummy or daddy. After about 6 or 7, they'll get a real kick out of all the detail and little asides going on.

Really fun book particularly when you use the app to have it read to you by kids. Brilliant. Fun illustrations, fun story.

It is my hope that this book can be revisited over the years as the readers tastes improve.

We adored this writer's first book 'Weasels' and didn't expect this one to be better, but I think it is. The variety of creatures & their little side stories & personalities, are a delight for both children & adults. We love the Star Trek/ Wars references, especially my husband! This format is brilliant for our 7 year old dyslexic son, Elys's books are the first that he has been happy to read to me! We can't wait for the next.

A well drawn amusing space fantasy picture book! Lots of lovely detail in the pictures, extra things to spot when rereading, and enough pretty grown up references to amuse the adult reading with the child. This a book to read and read again and become a child/family favourite. Looking forward to the next one !
