Bought this for checking the various scrap wood and tree cutting s we accumulate for burning in the fireSimple to use, take off the cover (it has a right and wrong way) press against the target and read. The meter works well but the advert on Amazon was misleading. This invited the buyer to purchase ADDITIONAL BATTERIES, implying that batteries were supplied within the purchase price. This was not the case and I had to buy batteries separately. The advert needs to be made clearer.

Can't vouch for its accuracy, as have nothing to measure it against, but will assume it is as accurate as it needs to be. I use it for my logs, that I split myself, and gives a good indication of when ready to burn. Also used it on a leaky ceiling before and after fixing....and seemed to show damp/dry as needed. Perfectly good as far as I'm concerned. But it.

I had read all reviews for others and settled in this model - as I was familiar with the brand .Simple to use - select the tree option ( picture on display ) and place on the wood.Even changes colour as an indication.
