Ready For Anything How did you come up with the idea for this product? I spend a lot of time on-the-go for work. Working from airports, hotels, cafes, wherever – and I need to be just as productive as I am when being in an office. I also love having music with me when I’m on the go so I designed a solution that has everything I would need to accomodate this mobile work life which I believe will help everyone else too. What makes your product special? We’ve re-invented the mobile office – and at the same time made a product suitable for every day life so you are prepared for whatever life throws at you. Whether that’s meeting a big client or meeting a big group of friends – you’re ready for anything. What has been the best part of your startup experience? Launching on Kickstarter and breaking our goal within 6 hours was incredible – selling a product nobody had seen or touched yet was amazing. Now seeing thousands of bags all around the world and everyone loving it – hearing how it is helping their life in this new mobile workforce culture, that is the best part.

Product components do not stand test of time.
After a small delay, I received my pack. Overall it is a good and solid bag. Everything I wanted. But, after two weeks, the lock that I never used, just split apart. No big. I sent them a message and photos of the bad lock. They said that they were going to send me a replacement. Two months later, no lock... "It was handed to your postal carrier" end of subject. While I do like the bag, do not count on any customer service.Update, I purchased this bag in OCT, had to replace the lock with one of my own. Today (APR) I had a small accident and something sharp hit my Lifepack while I was getting off the train. No Cut??? It Can Be Cut!!!Lock, Customer service, Material that should not be Sliceable being easily sliced open? Stay away from this product, my $0,02.

Solar battery died after 5 months...
After 5 months the solar battery stop working; is not charging anymore with the solar light; I realized of this when I was with a group of friends at the beach and was embarrassing... the backpack is cool but the main feature failed.

Not quite worth the price tag
This backpack has a lot of cool features that I enjoy. Unfortunately I have a few major complaints.1) the solar bank doesn't charge well when plugged in, and I don't think it has ever pulled a solar charge.2) the lock is constantly resetting its code when its in its little pocket. I've stopped using it because every other time I need to unlock it I have to try 1000 codes3) after just over 3 months, the stitching around the top of the shoulder straps has begun to split. At $175 I'd like it to last a little longer, and my return period has closed.

Broken within First Use :(
We were really excited for this product! Unfortunately it broke within the first trip we took! The zipper broke off completely and so did the security lock. The solar panel never worked and didn’t charge with the sun! We are sad that it broke so quickly for how expensive it was! We bought it despite all the negative reviews but unfortunately all the reviews we had read were true.

Don't spend the money - - poor quality!
The concept was good, but it is too expensive for the product. I purchased mine the beginning of October and the solar pack is already not working; it will not charge, and the return window has expired. Also, the solar pack is somewhat big and bulky and takes up a lot of the front pocket room. The solar pack also leaves it front heavy. I recommend saving your money and buying a portable charger - - much cheaper, smaller and much more light weight than this backpack. I regret purchasing this and I now am out $200; I purchased a 'glorified' bookbag with. It is NOT worth the money!

Great concept - missing the refinement.
Bought this bag in May 2017 to use for the summer. I teach music on the road for three months. The two-pocket backpack with battery and Bluetooth speaker is exactly what I need.However, the bag itself is a little too small for my needs. Also, this summer, the security cable lock blew up - the guts of the lock fell out and the clip itself no longer functions - so it’s just an extra piece of hardware.The internal cable to connect the battery outlet to the usb plug in the side pocket doesn’t work consistently. It requires constant resetting.The Bluetooth speaker is very problematic. After about 15 minutes of continuous use, the Bluetooth receiver starts to drop in and out, causing blank spaces in the audio (this is disastrous for a metronome). On hot days, the dropouts happen much faster.The issues were apparent almost immediately after I received the bag last summer (2017). My first contact (last year) to the tech support at Solgaard went unanswered. This year, they replied and offered to sell me a second bag at a discount - but not rectify the problems.The product is overpriced at $300 when considered the lack of accuracy of the product.

Love it!!
I took this backpack on a recent trip to Israel. The bag was sturdy, the solar battery pack worked great; I was able to keep my cellphone and iPad charged while on the 9-hour flight from Denver. I will use this pack on hiking trips in addition of airplane flights.
