It used to be said that the reason why GENUINE ink cartridges were so stupidly expensive was because their price represented Pay-Back time for the poor old printer manufacturers, who were literally giving away its printers in the supermarkets. So Lo-cost printers = Hi-Price Cartridges. I understand this.But Epson charge what is a full and fair price of around £180 for their portable WF-100 printer and yet still charge stupid prices for their cartridges. What's more, they've added a new(ish) wheeze to squeeze yet more cash out of their customers. It's a form of consumable called a 'Maintenance Box' that's equally expensive. It's basically a small plastic tray containing an absorbent pad. What's expensive about that? Next there'll be a paper roller maintenance kit and then where will it all end? This printer already costs almost 12p per printed page in consumables when we all know it should be 10% of that.As soon as I find out how to defeat the software on this so-called Maintenance Box I'll start cleaning the little pad myself in alcohol and reusing it.And there's another sad fact. To get you to use more of their expensive ink than you should, they use it as a cleaning fluid for the jets, hence the need to absorb the cleaning fluid/ink in a little absorbent pad.- Ta-Ra! The Maintenance Box.Come on Epson. You can do better than this. How about a drainable waste tank? What about a cleaning fluid tank which users can fill with their own isopropyl alcohol? We can't respect you because you show no respect for your customers.

I bought this supposedly authentic Epson cartridge so that it would definitely work. Just when I wanted to print out passenger locator forms before leaving for the airport, the WF-110 printer flagged up low ink levels. I replaced the cartridges and, surprise, surprise, the 266 and 267 cartridges were deemed non-authentic. Worse than that, the print quality was appalling. It said 'Epson' on the packaging and that's what I thought I was getting for the premium price. Clearly, it's a con.

have bought twice and both time cartridge are not full. also each colour is different level so printer stops using the whole cartridge once one colour runs out. Aside from ridiculous actual cost (one cartridge box for less than 25 prints) it is the sheer inconvenience as the whole thing stops printing without warning. totally unreliable for urgent or even non-urgent matters. Epson is by far the least worthy printer and cartridge brand i have ever used. look for something else please if you are cost and time conscious and need reliable work equipment/accessories.

It prints ok, as much as any limited colour cheapo printer will but what irks me is that I had to buy this just to make the printer (Epsom WF100) work with the black cartridge because it refuses to print unless you also have colour ink even if you don’t need it. Won’t buy Epson stuff again.

Ink for the mobile printer we have. My father uses it regularly and is printing minimum 2 sheets a day. The ink lasts for 2 months before he needs a replacement
