Best spice grinder available...
I have been cooking Indian Food for 17 years. I have burnt through countless coffee bean grinders (despite reading rave reviews on them) over the years grinding spice mixtures (i.e., masalas) both wet and dry using coffee bean grinders. I am aware these are not designed for wet masala paste processing, but one would think the gasket separating the blade from the motor would prevent seepage. In any event, these "bean grinders" are not meant for long term use.So, I search for "industrial grinder" and came across this product. I am THRILLED with it. It is very high quality, excellent stainless steel body, like one would see in a professional kitchen. The volume of the grinding hopper is about 2 1/2 cups, so much bigger than even the largest coffee grinder I have encountered. I am an Ophthalmologist by profession, so I looked very carefully with scrutiny at its design; it is very well made.Let me explain the knobs as shown for clarity. The red knob on the right keeps the whole body vertical for grinding. This is important because if you have a smaller quantity of seeds to grind, you can tilt it and gravity with cause it to fall to one corner below and keep it in contact with the blades longer instead of flying in the air inside the hopper during grinding. The knob on the right of the photo is the timer/on switch for timed grinding. The red light on top is the "on light". I believe the button in front is a breaker release (I have not used yet) or it may cut power to the blades in case you need to stop it suddenly. I am waiting for my English version manual to come to review its function. Finally, the lid secures very nicely with two adjustable locking knobs. There is a rubber gasket inside the lid to keep the powder inside nicely. The unit comes with all the extras: a nice sieve, a cleaning brush, extra springs/bushing x 2, extra set of blades. The cord plugs in the back (both male and female ends).I am so pleased with this item. It is worth every penny. I cannot wait to grind pieces of dried turmeric, which has the density and hardness as petrified wood. You will be very happy you bought this if you have been in same circumstance as myself.

The Nimbus 2000 of grinding
The gods of grinding herbs, spices, and coffee will rue the day that this abomination of grinding was created. This thing is an industrial-strength grinder. It’s ridiculously powerful and I feel unworthy of even having it in my kitchen.Be sure to fully dry whatever you’re grinding though, it will overheat if there’s even a little bit of moisture in your stuff. Otherwise, this incredible piece of machinery has been one of the coolest, most-potent things I’ve ever purchased, dang.

So far, works well
I'm very happy with this grinder so far. The grind ranges from fine to coarse depending on how you use the machine. I will say that I was hoping that the machine could grind the herbs that I put in it a little bit finer (I was hoping for baby-powder fine but I think that I would need a hammer grinder to get dried herbs that fine), but it will work for me. I started by grinding dried beans just to test it out and made a good flour out of them, now I'm trying various dried herbs. My one tip is that the power swich/timer knob took a minute to figure out, and the manual depicts a slightly different model that has a different power switch. Since I was starting out cautiously, I didn't want to turn the timer dial too far so I figured out that you can simply turn the dial clockwise very slightly and just hold it in the on position. The machine heats up pretty quickly so I prefer this method to start.I think that I'll get a lot of use out of this grinder and I'm glad that I bought it.

Hard to Clean
I’ve had this grinder for about 2 months now and I really wish I could give this product 5 stars. This product is extremely difficult to clean and I have been unable to remove the blade to properly clean it. The instructions say to use a knife and pliers at the same time to remove the blade. The knife to keep the blade from turning and the pliers to grip the nut and turn it. I have literally tried everything and it hasn’t worked. I even tried wire cutters to remove the nut. The grinder actually works great in grinding my product. However I’m running a business where I pride myself on quality product. I can’t ensure cleanliness or my grounded product because I can’t properly clean the product.

Excellent Machine!!!!!!!!
I don't usually leave reviews. But when something impresses me I have to. I bought this machine because I had abumper crop of Garlic this year. I want to make some Garlic Powder. If you never made fresh homemade Garlic powder never have had it you will be asking yourself what the hell have I been eating in those little jars. One of thebest kept secrets in the culinary world!!!! The machine out performed all my expectations. Super fast grinding time, less than 30 seconds per batch. Nice fine powder, easy to use, not bad to clean. Noise?? No big deal. If your thinking of getting one get the one that tilts. Perfect for my needs. Score out of 1 - 10? 10+++++

The best machine ever
Because this machine is sooooo good that I have to write the review so anyone is looking for one can benefit from it. As you can see in the picture, it pulverized cinnamon barks ( they are super hard when they are raw which i bought from VN,!I have to use hammer to get the into smaller pieces to fit the machine, and after 1.5 minutes, they become flour, even finer than flour you buy from store
