I couldn’t be happier with this dog life jacket! I purchased the size XS for my 6-pound chihuahua, and it fits her perfectly. The design is clearly well thought out—not only does it provide a snug, secure fit, but it’s also lightweight and comfortable enough for her to wear for extended periods without any signs of discomfort or irritation. One of the things I appreciate most is how well it performs in the water. It provides just the right amount of buoyancy to help keep her safely afloat, giving me peace of mind during our time near the pool or lake. She’s able to move freely and naturally while wearing it, which is a huge plus. The quality of the materials is excellent, and it looks exactly like the photos shown online—no surprises there! It feels durable and well-made, and the attention to detail is clear. Shipping was also impressively fast, which made the entire purchasing experience even better. Two parts to this review: the product itself and the customer service This lifejacket works great! Fits my pup perfectly, helps keep him afloat and gives me peace of mind. I had previously bought him another lifejacket and whenever I put it on, he wouldn't move. Just stood there frozen. But with this life jacket, he is happy to jump, run, swim and roll around! I love the fact that it has a d-ring to tether him off, as I don't like using just his collar especially since his neck is so large he could just slip off. And the handle on the back worked great for trying to help him onto the paddle board--we need a little more practice standing up there. Second! The customer service! When I ordered this lifejacket, I had a camping trip coming up and made sure to order it in time to get here well before then. Unfortunately, my original order got shipped to another state so I contacted the people at Paws Republic, who were the ones who fulfilled my order. Katie was so helpful and amazing, she overnight shipped another lifejacket to me, getting here the day before we left. It was such a great experience, it's the whole reason I'm writing this review! This is a quality lifejacket for any adventure dog!

My dog is a doberman so he has a thick chest and a pretty small waist. This makes it hard to find life jackets that will fit him well. This jacket is good because it allows for a small waist and large chest with the adjustments available in the fit, not perfectly but pretty well. I also like that it is neoprene and the color scheme looks good and is easy to spot from a bit of a distance. My dog was a horrible swimmer at first, and this really helped keep him afloat and build his confidence. Now I like that it helps him when he becomes tired, and makes me feel much better about his safety. The con is that it doesn't last long with regular use. We are regular lake goers, and by the end of the summer the stitching along where the velcro and the neoprene meet along the chest was pretty ripped. It also started ripping where the strap comes through that clips under his neck. With regular use, don't expect it to last more than one season. Occasional use it should be fine for more extended wear. (Note, we also help my dog onto the back of the boat by pulling on the handle of the jacket. I'm sure this significantly adds to the wear and tear on the jacket. The stitching on the handle still seemed solid after the season.) The pic is early in the season while the jacket was practically new. (Ignore the prong collar.. not sure why he had it on in the boat, that's not the norm so no reason to comment on the safety of my dog due to the collar.)

Like product a lot except there is a very wide range from small to medium (20-50lb instead of 5 lb increments). I bought medium for a 20 lb corgi puppy who will likely grow another 5 lb and it is extremely large on him. Corgis have a unique body shape to say the least so we are always on the cusp of toys/small and medium dogs. His 20lb body doesnt run too comfortably right now that it is set on the tighest setting and jacket bulges at corners but I am hopeful that a few more pounds and a bit more use will make it more comfortable. That said he seems to love wearing it because he knows we are going to the "special park" where there is swimming whenever I bust it out of the trunk of the car. Seems just as durable as the outward hound one I bought for my other corgi in large (which didn't have a red color option). Top strap is a bit less sturdy looking but I don't anticipate lifting him by strap. Bought it to keep him from accidentally rolling when turning sharply in local stream and to give a little more confidence and safety while swimming with larger dogs around who make waves that can overwhelm the little ones. Update. I bought this in 2014. Since then my boy has grown up to be nearly 4o lbs. Jacket is awesome and has held up incredibly well for almost a decade. He is extremely aquatic so it has gotten a lot of use. Upgraded to 5 stars due to value for money. Highly recommend.

La talla Ch le quedó perfecta, me encantó el velcro que tiene en la parte baja porque lo ajusta muy bien, del cuello le quedó perfecto, lo usaremos para su terapia en el agua, aún no lo usa, pero daré reseñas si flota bien, por lo demás en materiales muy bien, por el precio, estoy muy contenta ☺ y SAM también.

Exactly what our elderly dog needed when help was required for getting him in and out of the pool.

This is a good quality vest and helps my doggo to swim more easily. I have a 75 lb lab and the large is a perfect size. Easy to put on and remove. He swims just fine without it, but he has occasional epileptic seizures so when he swims in the lake, I need to keep him safe, just in case. He does not mind it at all and looks extra handsome as a lifeguard! :)
