Wooden combs are soft and polished. They have a much softer feel than plastic or metal combs. If you have sensitive scalp then wooden combs can prevent bruising or scraping your scalp. Wooden combs prevent your hair from dying out because it helps to distribute oil from your scalp to hair. The sebum that's produced on the scalp is distributed throughout the length which prevents your scalp from getting greasy. Unlike plastic, it doesn't produce static or snap your hair. Wood has the property to not conduct electricity so it prevents damage from static. For long hair, wooden combs are best because they evenly distribute hair oils in the length. Your hair appears shiny, they give you hair an even and lustrous look.

Love the brush! Well made, no static, nice size for home and travel. Beautifully packaged - makes a great gift. EXCELLENT customer service! I purchased another product from this company that I was not satisfied with and they were beyond helpful - sending me a complimentary gift! If only all companies were as accommodating as Joyo.

A beautiful hair brush
Wow! This hair brush is superior to my bamboo hair brush in a couple of ways. Firstly it feels weighty in my hand, which makes it feel well made. Secondly, it is buffed to a shine so the back of the brush feels like a piece of furniture... that's the only way I can think to describe the smooth texture. Finally, it does have a scent, I assume it is the actual wood but I'm not 100% because I have never smelled the scent of sandalwood-wood, only sandalwood incense. I wonder if because the pins are also made of wood, if they will not break as easily as my bamboo brush does. Overall, I would highly recommend this hair brush. It comes from China and although it took nearly 3 weeks to arrive, it was well worth the weight
