Door Window Alarms, HUMUTU 120 DB Pool Alarm for Doors, Magnet Triggered Pool Window Door Alarms (10 Packs)

To preface my review, I bought these because I have 2 young boys, one of which is nonverbal, autistic and for some reason sees night time as a chance to attempt to explore the outside world. We live by a busy highway and a ton of canals. These alarms are now on all of our windows that open and the front and back doors, and they were so easy to install. Just peel the back off and stick one part to your door, and the other part to the trim and you're done. I put one on the inside and outside of his window in his room (as a precaution) and one on each window he has access to and can climb out of in my house. I have tried different door locks and child proofing tactics to keep him inside, and he always figures out how to open them.. and he's FAST. I've been really lucky to have caught him each time, but it's unsettling regardless, because it only takes once for something horrible to happen. I've gotten to the point that every tiny sound wakes me up and I have to go check on him, which is multiple times throughout the night. These are LOUD too, so as soon as they go off, I hear them and so do my neighbors I'm sure, but one is deaf and the other is very understanding and actually is the one that recommended looking into pool alarms- which led me here! I still have locks, a motion sense camera that links to my phone and other things up as extra barriers... but these have been the one thing that have made him stop opening the windows and doors and running out at night. I cannot express my gratitude enough for that alone. No complaints from me, they do exactly what they're supposed to do, came professionally packaged, they're pretty discrete since all of my trim is white, they're tiny and they stick really well and are easy to turn on and off.

These are small and easy to install. But if you forget to turn off the alarm before opening door/window it is very loud. We placed one on my husband workshop door that is in our basement. The door is on the other end of the house from our living room and it can be heard in the living room when door gets opened. We also gave a couple to my mother who lives alone and has one end of her house she rarely uses. I asked her to please let us put one on each back window and her bilco door to the basement. Once she heard how loud she felt much better about them being there.I am happy to say these are easy to peel and stick installation and lining them up is a cinch. They are small enough that they may not be seen by intruders, yet loud enough to send them running. Very pleased with this purchase.

The sound volume is mildly annoying, but nowhere close to the claimed 120 db. Maybe 90db. Not enough to wake the neighbors certainly. If you've ever had a real alarm system go off, with a real bullhorn speaker, you'll know what I'm talking about. This ain't it.One arrived in the on position, with battery drained, making soft whoop noises whenever package was jostled.And by the way, they're much cheaper on eBay. Same product. Go look.

We live in Florida and have a pool behind our house. With a four-year-old and a six-year-old it is so important to have multiple safeguards to keep the kids safe from drowning. Even though both of my children are very strong swimmers at this age, obviously they should not be near the pool unsupervised. So we installed these on both of our sliding doors and all of our windows. Not just for the pool and the kids, but for general safety. These are Very loud, and would easily week both myself and husband up if we were sleeping. They are small enough to not really stand out so you can barely see them. They’re very small. And they stick to the wall very well.

Update: Seller Contacted me within days of my original review and offered to send me a new pack of alarms at no charge. They got here quickly, and all seem to be in good working order. I’m very pleased with the seller and the product, I can now feel safe in my house. I left off one star for the hassle of having to wait for a new set, but otherwise the alarms would be five stars.Original Review: 2 of the alarms were defective, which pretty much makes them all pointless since now I don’t have enough to secure my home.

They are very loud and easy to install. Biggest problem so far is that I've installed all 8 and over 2 months 2 have fallen off, so far. The adhesive could be stronger and I fixed this by adding my own tape. The other ones seem to be adhered very well though and I doubt I have any issues with them. I noticed they would fall off when the sun was beating down on them and i installed them on a very hot day. I would install during the night and that might solve the issues I had. I would buy these again because they are so loud.

UPDATE:The seller sent me a few of the updated version of these alarms and it’s been a 4 days since we installed them and they are holding stronger than the first batch! Also really good customer service for addressing my issues.ORIGINAL POST: Great product and definitely loud enough to scare but they fall off all the time. The first time one fell off we were ready to meet someone breaking into our house but after the second time it’s more of an annoyance knowing it just fell off again. Hopefully no one ever does break in because we won’t believe it. Again we love the product because it does its job by sounding the alarm if disconnected from the base but not when it’s a false alarm over and over and over.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I have security cameras bust they don't tell me when my grandchildren are trying to go out the front or back doors. It make such a horrible loud noise that they are afraid if touching the doors now. It even keeps our big dog from trying to nose the door open. You do have to clean the spot really good and push it on to get it to stay put. Garage is next. Thank you for a inexpense fix for coverage that our security system doesn't address.
