808 Thump Bluetooth Wireless Speaker - Blue

Originally I bought this bluetooth speaker from Target years ago. But because of me being such a rush I stepped on the plug really hard on the way out of my house and it split the end of the plug in half. But this was after years and years of having the same little bluetooth speaker! It was that good!! It never gave me any problems, had great volume for my little apartment and it was compact enough to fit anywhere. I love it!!! And wouldn't trade it for any other bluetooth speaker in the world!!!! I'm not big on leaving comments anywhere cause I'm always busy. But I wanted to take the time to leave this comment for anyone who is thinking about buying this bluetooth speaker. If you're on a budget and are looking for good quality with a loud sound - I'm telling you THIS IS THE ONE!!! I received my new one yesterday and it works just as great as the old one. I'm buying another one right now for my best friend. I know she will love it. God bless everyone!!! :)

Had this thing for a while now, and it cranks out very loud, bass-heavy yet clear sound. Had the Canz before this as well, and the Thump seems to be even heavier on the bass while getting better battery life and using the more convenient, standardized microUSB charging port over the Canz's miniUSB. Battery life is excellent, better than expected from the looks of it outright - makes you wonder how 808 fit such a lengthy charge li-ion battery in such a tiny speaker, especially with the sound it kicks out. My only complaint about it is that the startup/turn-off and pairing tones/jingles are pretty dang loud too, and a little grating on the ears. But hey, you'll know when it powers up, pairs and turns off without question! Seems to hold up perfectly fine after getting knocked around a bit and being stored in a very damp environment, and it's lived through both sub-freezing winters and triple-digit summers too - the durability is impressive to say the least. Very satisfied with this little speaker overall.

Very good sound out of a small format speaker. Be advised that this is a small device, I was expecting something bigger for sure. It will fit inside your favorite coffee cup. That being said, this is also my favorite Bluetooth speaker (I have several).The best thing is the quality of sound, a more complete range than any I have tried. A trick we have discovered is to place the speaker on an empty cardboard box to increase the bass notes - incredible that those notes are being produced by this little guy.The battery charge last several hours. I have played it several times without charging between, a real trouper.One caution - it is not very shock resistant! I dropped the first one off the kitchen cabinet to the floor, no more sound of any kind. I tried to find a way to disassemble the housing to repair the broken 'whatever' inside, no luck. Trashed it, bought a new one.

This little speaker is so great. The sound quality is perfect. It can be as loud as a full stereo system! The only complaint I have is the extremely unnecessarily loud sound it makes when turning it on and off and the creepy man voice that says "low battery" at top volume out of the blue, scaring the crap out of you. Does not do well in a work environment. I have to hold the speaker to my stomach when I want to turn it on, off, and connecting it to bluetooth too. And I DREAD the battery getting low so I charge it all the time! But its so small and handy and the sound quality is so good I deal with it. Haha.

Got this to take on a road trip so we could listen to YouTube music videos since our car doesn’t have blue tooth. It works great! It’s so loud you can feel it vibrating in your hand and has a clear sound. Plus I chose it because it was so cheap and I don’t plan to use it a lot so I didn’t want to spend a lot. I’m very happy with what I got for my money. I also used it with my white sound app on my phone for hotel rooms so I can sleep at night on vacation.

the price is great, well made, and very enjoyable and acceptable sound. holds a charge for a decent while, portable, can use while charging. Any bluetooth device can be difficult sometimes to pair, I always check to see if another phone, or tablet, or any other bluetooth device is in range competing for the pairing. This can be said for any bluetooth device, easily remedied! Good price, good sound all around hi's and lo's, etc., sturdy case and non-skid bottom, buy it, don't overthink it, if you demand more, spend more!

So far this is one little impressive device for the price. There’s a quality feel to it, nice grill, weighted well. I see how others pointed out occasionally the first couple of seconds sound gets cut off or skips, it seems to work better when paired to mobiles rather than a laptop, strange but not a deal breaker. I do like the pairing sounds, how it pairs quickly when compared to other lower end speakers, the sound is more than enough for what it is, enough treble, bass at high volume is fine. Real value here.

Seller replied to my message about my missing order very quickly, but basically told me it’s my problem and that he can’t issue a refund because USPS tracking status says it’s been delivered. Cool :)As far as the speaker goes, it’s a great little thing. I originally purchased a red 808 Thump from Walmart about 5 years ago. I never had any issues with it the entire time - until my daughter knocked it into a sink full of dishes. Then it wouldn’t work anymore lol. It was definitely worth the $20 I spent, so I ordered two more from Amazon - one for myself and one for my daughter. Everyone seems annoyed by the startup and power off sounds, as well as the “low battery” alert, but they never really bothered me. I think the sound effects are cool lol. I got about 3.5 hours of play time with a full charge, never had any issues charging or pairing the unit, and it plays just fine while it’s charging. I’ve dropped it more times than I’d like to admit, and it still performed without any problems. The volume gets surprisingly loud and the sound quality is clear enough, but the volume level is controlled by the paired device, that’s the only annoying thing to me.
