Still Going Strong
Be prepared to tinker. Limit switches were loose upon arrival, so upon firing up the first time, I was greeted with a horrible grinding noise from the y axis stepper since the limit switch wasn't engaging. Neither the supplied air pump, nor the water pump worked, just my luck. Had to buy separately. Don't bother with the crap software, just use K40 whisperer until you can upgrade the board. After adjusting mirrors and tube alignment I was able to cut 1/2" bamboo in a single pass at 80% power 3mm/s. Pretty impressive. Have been mainly using for 4-5oz leather cut at 25% power 20mm/s. Cuts and engraves like a dream once you get past the headaches. I knew it was a gamble, but in the end, it looks like the machine will pay for itself in a few months. Although power in the laser tube seems to be dropping off slightly. I will keep an eye on this an post updates. I plan on replacing the stock 50w tube eventually. Be prepared to spend a couple hundred more on upgrades to get this puppy spinning like a top, but you will be quite pleased with it once you do.Update 1: laser power was in fact not dropping off, it was due to progressive mirror misalignment from lens cleaning. I didn't realize that the pressure from just removing the laser tube from the collet would be enough to misalign the last mirror. Just readjust the last mirror with each lens cleaning every week or two and it will be just fine. I cut a lot of leather, so oils build up on the laser head and form a gunky resin, other materials do not seem to dirty the head as quickly, so less cleaning. So after the better part of a year, the laser is still kicking ass and taking names, it paid for itself in the first month or so. Final analysis: great purchase for the price, performing like a champ.***UPDATE***After two years of intermittent use, the laser tube finally took a crap. It probably had more life left in it, but inside my water tank, the water inlet line managed to vibrate its way loose from the pump without me noticing so who knows how long the laser was running without any cooling. Can't blame the tube for that dummy mistake. Another tube can be had for about $180 bucks here on amazon (800mm x 55mm 55w co2 laser tube). I estimate that I have grossed about 18k in profit selling stuff on etsy for the past two years as a side hustle so quite a good investment. Other than the tube, everything is still working just fine, so kudos to the manufacturer for making a pretty good laser for an excellent price!

You get more than you pay for!!
So I took a chance on buying this machine from newlin as it had no reviews anywhere online. It had most of the features I wanted and I was planning on modifying it anyway to get all the features I wanted. It arrived way sooner than the amazon estimated date and I was pleasantly surprised to find that all the modifications I was planning on making were already factory installed. Unfortunately arrived with broken laser tube. I got in touch with Amazon customer service and chatting with them I was contacted my the manufacturer within 10 mins. ( not an exaggeration). They were incredibly professional and offered to replace the tube without any hesitation. After I received an installed the replacement the machine is so far outperforming expectations. I would very highly recommend newlin machinery and this laser engraver/cutter in particular.

Works perfectly right out of the box. A+
Bought this laser not expecting much. When I got it it shipped with 220v pumps and the power supply was 110. The online tech support was excellent. I decided to get my own 110v pumps anyway. Was shipped to me very well packed and worked flawlessly right out of the box. Been using it for a few weeks and couldn’t be happier. Works perfectly with light burn SW. excellent productUpdate: it’s been months now I use it every week and it’s still working great!
