? A bit confusing needs more outlining, issues with narrative arc.
Twyla Turner has written legit books. She's a writer who somehow knows how to make annoying female leads really likeable, sometimes! The whiney woe is me h with low self-esteem is a common trope. Okay. But I was very confused about the flow of this novel. The time warp is used as a main plot device but doesn't get fully fleshed out. I'm not sure if this is a spoiler but the time warp is the glue to make or break the relationship with h and H and I don't know how the heck the thing exists or where it randomly came from as a reader. She should have done some research added a mythos or something. Loose ends in Paranormal are much harder to recover from. The h is also not loveable despite her reasonable flaws (scar, overweight, orphan, brown female). Nothing is worse than a frumpy doormat who gains confidence after sex with an alpha. Also, chooses to muck the stalls(?) as a sign of strength and personal growth. Just no. The Hero had potential, was actually likeable too bad for him and his wishy washy modern female. The whole book needs to be more well thought out, the evil nemesis is too easy but the main nemesis is whiney, complaining, h who threatens to leave the hero constantly even though she doesn't know how she got in viking world in the first place. I won't say this is my last Twyla because I try to support IR writers in general, but she needed to spend more time working this book out. Sorry. Please research and spend time thinking things through in the paranormal category. If you want something to read that makes you hot then okay, but if you want depth of emotion and event/character development refer back to some of her first books.

**Spoiler Free Review**
What follows is a spoiler free review, because you deserve to discover the goodness that is Bound Through Time all on your own. I highly recommend you treat yourself to some time-traveling Viking love. This book gave me a new book boyfriend, broke my heart (a couple of times), fed my love of fictional war (bloodlust), drama and intrigue. I loved that Elliot was a book nerd. I loved watching her find herself, quickly, when thrust well outside of her comfort zone. More than once, she had me in my feelings. She didn't think she was a warrior, she absolutely is a warrior. The chemistry between Elliot and Thorin is electric. Thorin elevated himself to book boyfriend status with his intensity in EVERYTHING he does. Thorin doesn't go in halves when he goes for something. He is fiercely protective of all that he considers his. He isn't afraid to throw hands, axe, broadsword - whatever's handy. Even with all of that masculine energy, he has moments that are so sweet, it makes your teeth ache. *Swoon*I'm not sure why the author thought she'd lost her mojo. Maybe the words weren't coming to her. In my opinion, her mojo went to Crossfit, bulked up and came back a BEAST!

Too Raunchy For me!!!
This book is not for everyone. I love historical romance and was very excited to see a Viking time travel with a strong African American woman as the heroin. This story started out strong but there was ALOT more sex than I am used to in other romance novels and not enough Viking adventure. Even though our heroin was attracted and enjoying the physical sensation of sex, it was hard to forget there was no romantic bond build between them, and she was kept prisoner and chained up for a good portion while this sexual interaction is taking place off and on. Lust does not equate to love and romance. At least not for this reader. If you are into that kind of kink this book is for you. If you like a romantic bond build between two characters and a bit more adventure between our two protagonist in place of some of the excessive loveless sex scenes, you'll want something else. I felt the book had a lot more potential and was disappointed. I still finished the book to give it a fair chance.

A spicy viking tale
I swear that I get excited every time Twyla puts out a book and I wasn't disappointed with this one. I sincerely enjoyed read this book. I wish I could say that I love Thorin and Ellie but only Thorin is getting my love at the moment l.The "woe is me" attitude of Ellie got old really quickly for me. It seemed like the secondary characters were more enlightened than she. And even after the heart to heart conversations, she still continued on her path of self induced despair. I gotta give it to Thorin. That hunk of hotness was persistent and thankfully it all came together in the end.

Would have liked more depth to the story
I really went into reading this book hoping to like it. I've realized that a lot of genres I love to read sorely lack diverse female protags. One of them being time travel romances a la "Outlander". So when I saw this, I was really happy to find a time travel story with a black/brown woman protag where she didn't end up being a slave. However, my biggest disappointment is that the story, the romance, nor the characters seemed to have any real depth. Everything about this story just came off very shallow, nothing was explored to it's full potential and that's frustrating bcuz my biggest problem with this story is that it had great potential. It was an alright story that could have been great with if the author did a bit more digging into her story plot and characterization. It's by no means an awful book, I just feel it could have been a lot better.

Time Travel Love
What a beautiful story! This author always surpasses my expectations and never disappoints! Elliot was stubborn and afraid to love, and Thorin was her perfect match. I loved the challenges they were to each other. The story was well told and kept me entertained. Definitely a re-read, as many of Twyla’s books are. This is an author who takes the time to write, and give us stories that are enjoyable. I cannot wait to see where she takes Dags story. Well done Twyla!

Great Time Travel Romance
I’m used to reading Ms. Turner’s contemporary books, so this time travel book came as a total shock. Elliott is your stereotypical librarian, quiet, shy, and frumpy, living in the present. Due to her past, she’s afraid to live life to its fullest. Thorin meets every characteristic you could think of when describing a Viking, strong, handsome, and fierce and from 1051. He lives for fighting battles, needing women, and having fun. One fateful night changes everything....

Unusual but nice little story but needs proof reading
Thoroughly enjoyable story with a few gory bits thrown in.I do like a historical romance and our heroine from the present does a great job of coping with the harsh reality of life in the time of the Vikings. The only thing that stopped me from giving a 5 star review was the lack of proof reading. Spellcheck is no substitute! There were a few little spelling errors, like rowing with 'ores' but I got past those..I huffed at the mother saying "my son fancies you" Really? Is that a saying that goes back to the time of the Vikings? Sounded more High School playground, circa 1970s.But what really set my teeth on edge was when the hero said he was attracted to her from the moment she was 'drug' into his sight. The past tense of drag is 'dragged'!Please, let someone read your books, before they are published, to look out for that kind of thing.

Une belle histoire
Les 2 héros de cette histoire sont modernes mais en plus vous avez l'aspect historique. C'est un roman avec une histoire d'amour et c'est agréable à lire
