Vibrant & alive plant arrived with fast delivery
Came packaged nice & neat. Plant was healthy & vibrant. Soil was moist & had some gel sealer on the bottom. Took it out & planted it right away today (same day as I got it).I was discouraged when I read the detailed information sheet they sent with the package. It mentions bamboo not good in clay soils. My yard is majority clay. Had i known this, or seen a question like this, I probably would not have purchased this bamboo. We will see (God willing) if this plant survives the clay in my yard!!Definitely recommend purchasing from this company based on my one & only buy so far. Extremely pleased with the speed of delivery & the plants liveliness on arrival.

Looks like it came in good shape and planted today.
Guess you are supposed to use the soil there but I bought actual potting soil so who knows if it actually matters.

Actual Live Healthy Plant
I ordered 3different bamboo plants from three different suppliers and this on was, by far, The largest plant in the best health and very well packaged. I would definitely but from this seller again.

Mine arrived fine! No complaints!
So far, so good on this Bamboo! The packaging was pretty good, especially considering this is a cold hearty bamboo. However, if this were a more sensitive plant, the box would have needed to be insulated, as this was not. Also, I ordered this when the 10 day forecast looked downright pleasant just to be sure. The root ball seems directly taken from a pot, slathered with a little hydrating gel, set in a plastic bag, wrapped in cling wrap and then the top is scotch taped to hold the whole thing together. That seems very well done and should protect it on it's 3-5 day journey depending on where you are. There were about 4 canes on the plant I got and 1 was dead, but it seems it was dead before being shipped because it had no leaves, and there were no loose leaves in the box. The whole bundle was banded, with green plastic, in three spots. This helps prevent the canes from fighting each other and leaves from knocking around. The box was just the right size for the root ball, but also sewn with twine to help prevent the ball from crushing the canes. As a last resort, the box also has a large label on it stating which way the box should be laid by the carrier and that there was a live plant inside, not to set it in extreme heat or cold and to treat it gently. Again, mine arrived fine, so these methods paid off! It's still a little less than ideal outside, so I have mine adapting in a small grow setup I have, but once I get it outside, we'll see how it does. I'll update this post as we go.

Fast growing and handles abuse.
I received the plant in good shape. Like it says in the instructions, you may lose some leaves or they start to turn yellow because of the transportation shock. However it recovered just fine. Also after about 6-8 weeks I split them into 3 large pots and they recovered from that even faster than the shipping. Its been another month now and all 3 divisions have runners going to the outer edge of the pots and starting to shoot up now(4 runners so far). The pots are only temporary but they look very nice. They do like to be watered especially in the pots that bake in the hot summer sun. Just ordered another 3 and will do the same with those too.

Happy Bamboo!
This plant arrived so beautiful and healthy. I was scared I was going to kill it because of my black thumb. There are great instructions with it, both for planting and also what to expect. I live in a dry, hot part of Colorado and followed instructions to a tee. It has been in the ground for a good week now and acts like it is going to be happy. We also have clay soil below so I took precautions not to turn it's home into a "soup bowl." and of course, because I am expecting our typical dry August, it started raining every day, serious soakers, so I was worried about rotting the rhizomes. So far so good and I will definitely order from here again. Thanks Maya Gardens for my first experience with bamboo. Now to keep it from being "too" happy and over running the place!
