Not happy, but not many options for the rectangular outlets.
Unfortunately there are not many options for designer outlets. This works to protect the baby from electric shock while allowing the use of the outlet. However, it is very hard for adults (ie mommy/daddy) to open if we need to change the plug. Making it very bad if you need to use the outlet on a regular basis. It also sticks out 4 inches from the wall. The munchkin/safety first are much lower profiles. However these are not big enough to plug in anything that doesn't come directly off the wall. This includes the low profile extension cords, because the cord comes out the bottom or side and doesn't bend soon enough they hit the box and make it impossible to close.I'm so displeased with these that my next house will have the normal screw in the middle outlets rather than having to deal with these again.

Much better than the individual cheaper outlet plug covers
Please do note, you need to check your outlets to see if you have Decorator or Duplex style outlets. I made the mistake but great customer service from LectraLock solved that issue.I bought both these, the LectraLock - Baby Safety Electrical Outlet Cover - Double - Duplex Style - Standard Cover and also the cheaper Mommy's Helper Outlet Plugs. The Mommy's Helper Outlet Plugs do their thing but are very hard and annoying to take off if you plan on using the outlet off and on such as vacuuming. Even though these LectraLock style are more expensive, so are a GREAT idea. I like that you can see what is plugged in, the cover is easy to take off and on but unlikely that your young one will be able to do it. I have a 10 month old that now loves cords and puts his fingers in anything to feel the texture. This is where I was afraid of the outlet.I'm not sure if I really needed the large versus the small version of this but they are priced closed. I recommend these for anyone who has outlets that have stuff plugged in that you will leave plugged in and are in regular rooms that your young ones will be such as playroom or bedroom. I'm glad I gave these a chance.

Needed this badly for my computer!
Great little protector for plugs. I actually got this to prevent myself from kicking out the plug under my desk, as my feet sometimes tough it. So wanted to make sure I did not shut down my computer accidentially!Took off the old wall plate and put the new one on. Simple. Then plugged the cable in, placed the clear lid back on (which was simple - just squeezing the sides to pop it into its slots) and the cable came out the side perfectly.Another great thing about this is that you do not notice it - its clear and does not take away from the clean look you want to keep. And I've bumped it a few times with my feet and its held steady and I could feel the solidity of the plastic not giving way. So I got peace of mind and protection!

I would have given it a 5 star but the ...
I would have given it a 5 star but the long wires are still exposed from the plug which my daughter tugs at. The actual plugs that are in the outlet are 100% protected and I give that a 5 star but the fact she can tug on the wires that come out of the plastic box drops the overall rating to a 4 star

Works great! The one safety device that my 2-yr old hasn't been able to figure out.
I put the window air conditioners in and we have toddlers that are in the phase of pulling on cords. We wanted something to keep the kids from unplugging the AC's so I bought a few of these. They are easy to install and work great! The only issue we had was with the oversized plugs for the AC units where the cord couldn't bend off to the side. So, I cut out a notch on the top or bottom of the clear case and taped the cut edge with electrical tape so the cord wouldn't rub on the rough edges. Now, the plugs are secure and the kids won't unplug them. Works like a champ!

Perfect for our needs, I like that it's clear.
I wanted clear to really know what's going on inside and make sure no sparking or loose plugs were there. We had no other choice but this product because of the outlet screw style. No one else made a cover that was compatible. The outlet plate screws are at the top and bottom of the outlets instead of just the center screw.A thick power surge or power strip cord won't fit in the cord holes. My baby never messed with it, despite it being in clear view and with nothing around it to hide it. I think I was lucky in that regard, you never know if or when a baby will be interested in outlets.

Deters Curious Toddlers!
This safety electrical outlet cover does the job! I actually used it to cover two switches for our garbage disposal. Yes, my builder (Ashton Woods) conveniently placed it 2 feet above the ground. Dumb! As soon as I installed it, my toddler tried to reach the switch. He knew it was something different, and even tried to stick his little fingers thru the wire/cable holes. FAIL!The cover is a little tight, but it can be removed by squeezing with two hands. It looks just fine when its removed also. I recommend this product to anyone needing to protect an electrical outlet with kids.

Not universal
This product did not fit my stove, my burner knobs are too big. But, would be great for standard burner knobs and I would recommend them, so your kids or cats cannot turn on the burner when you are not home.
