The ultimate oil filter removal tool.
After using several pliers and other oil filter wrenches this is the only one that was able to free a stuck oil filter I wanted to remove. In hard-to-reach places, this device can be worked in and leverage applied to the handle with enough force to free the most stubborn oil filter. I used the closed end of a combination wrench to gain the necessary leverage. I spent the month of February working on a stuck filter and finally solved it with this tool.

Good, but not the right tool for my job
Has a good strong grip but unfortunately was still not the right tool for my very stubbornly stuck oil filter on a newly purchased used car. Tip: if it's really stuck, as in the oil filter housing just tears when you try to turn it, you are going to have to use the strongest part of the filter which is the end that screws onto the engine. I used a hacksaw blade to cut the filter can off, sharpened a steel rod, stuck it in a drain hole in the now-exposed mating plate, and bashed it with a sledgehammer until it turned. I will keep this around; I'm sure it will be useful someday to turn something a little less stuck.

Satisfactory locking wrench
This vise-grip type wrench is a handy tool for medium size plastic pipes and oil filters. It worked better for me than strap type wrenches which tend to slip.It doesn't give as much torque as pipe wrenches but doesn't chew up the pipes as much either. It has a limited range of sizes that it fits. Not the quality of real vise-grip wrenches though.

It worked to grip my Carefree Omega 3 slide topper
I only bought this to grip my slide topper on my RV so I can remove and replace the fabric. The gripper is well built and as I used it, it was great.

Great Tool
Work on boats for a living and wouldn't use any other tool. Great for getting hard to reach areas and when the filter is stuck like most are, this makes it easy. For those really tough ones, just put a pipe on the end and off it comes. Have had many other filter wrench's and got rid of all of them!A must for every mechanics tool box

Good product
Great value for the price. Great feel, weight and grip. No complaints.

Much smaller than adertized
The jaw size when locked down is much smaller than advertised. Its range is much closer to 1- 5/8 to 2 - 3/4 and not the stated 2 - 1/8 to 4 - 5/8 inches. The jaws will go to over 3 inch but will not lock at that diameter.

poorly made.
the manufacturing quality is very poor. It is not worth the money. it's a great design but the quality is very poor.
