What is the difference between the English mix and the Extra Fancy mix ?

The extra fancy fruit cake mix includes equal parts of cherries, pineapple, citron, lemon peel, orange peel.The Old English Fruit and Peel Mix combines natural, red and green candied orange peels, red candied cherries, red and green pineapple and candied lemon peel. If you love the look and taste of a traditional, old-fashioned fruitcake, then this is the best mix for you to use.

How do I know how fresh the candied fruit is? Can I order and keep and use until dec 2015?

As to how fresh the fruit is, I do not know. However, you certainly can order the fruit now and save it and use it in 2015. What I do is order now and use it now to make fruitcakes. I then store the cakes to use as gifts. Randy

Are the cherries whole?

No they are not. We add the whole cherries to this mix (also on Amazon) when making our Christmas bread
