Works great if you're ONLY using it on soft, fresh green leaves. I tried cutting through a pencil sized branch and bent the handles together in an instant. I'd return them if I could. The tool I needed to buy was a quality set of forged hedge shears. Stamped sheet metal just doesn't hold up when I'm actually working.

These shears are a bit shorter and lighter than my normal pair. There is a knob at center that allows you to separate the blades for sharpening and cleaning. The grip is a comfortable rubber, and the pivot allows for fairly rapid opening and closing of the blades. These cut what you expect them to in terms of branches, weeds, and hedges. The one star knockoff is from the condition of the blades themselves. They actually are somewhat dull, and I ended up having to whetstone them for a bit to sharpen (used a 15-20 degree incline to sharpen). After sharpening, the blades cut through branches as expected.

I bought these a few months ago and threw them away. They were not sharp enough to trim anything. Very disappointed! Do not purchase.

I needed a new hedge trimmer to trim up some bushes by my driveway. These arrived quickly and work as advertised. The grips are comfortable, blades are sharp, and has pretty good size.

not as sharp as I thought they would be. it is not easy to cut flower stems or the branches of the Japanese Maple

This hedge shear bent and wouldn't cut anything. Not worth it at all. For a few more dollars just get a trimmer.

These handles are way to short, they csnt even cut 1/2 in vines

Seriously. These are garbage. They bent immediately. Save yourself the hassle and get something else.
