Alittle modding and it fits a mk7 perfect
I bought it knowing it was for a mk6 but took it apart and glue it on my mk7 like factory and its perfect awesome, no 250 shifter for me

Boot and shifter is super tall. Had to modify the shifter linkage to get it the correct height. Seems like ok quality for the price. 2011 vw gli

Small seam wrinkle in flocking as material wraps under the metal disk of gear pattern emblem less than a mm, plastic ball is not keyed to or deep enough to reach Knurled finishing on gear shift rod, krimp ring will tighten ball to gear shift shaft Sufficiently, but shift ball may twist with aggressive gear changes.

Shifter does not go all the way down to the locking position also the staples under holding the leather is not secure and will stab you

Perfect for your MK6 Golf or '09 - '14 Jetta wagon.
Product arrived in excellent condition a week early despite shipping from China. It installed into my vehicle (A 2014 VW Jetta Sportwagon (Which is just a re-branded MK6 golf wagon here in the U.S.)) with absolutely no issues. I used a pair of pliers in order to tighten the clamp onto the shaft and it stayed firm.In my case, the shifter is longer than the stock shifter which increased the throw a noticeable amount, but nothing too extreme.

Does not fit MK5
Description says mk5 GTI. DOES NOT FIT WILL NOT SLIDE DOWN SHIFTER AND CLICK INTO PLACE. 👎🏻 1 star

Wrong fitment
Did not fit perfectly for my mk6 gti, the main base did fit right but the shifter sit too tall and did not met where the proper place for the clamp, the clamp it self was too weak. If you pull too hard the shifter will come out. I rate 1 star because the seller did not give me a refund, and i end up buying oem which is back ordered. And he wanted me to destroy the item now and give me refund. But i can't use my car with no shifter and Expose gear shift.

I like the aesthetics but the overall quality is poor and very light feeling. You may want to consider a different option. For the price I suppose its half decint
