I have been looking for plates to travel with when we BBQ at the beach or a lake. I am stubborn when it comes to eating a nice cut of meat.....on a paper plate. I did that years ago and swore I would never do it again! So I started taking my nice everyday china out....but it was too heavy and could easily break. So I looked on-line and found these Melamine Dinner plates that worked out so well! They are lightweight, travel well and doesn't cheapen the nice cut of meat. Easy to clean but remember, Melamine plates do not go in the microwave.

Plates are bright white melamine. They will be perfect to replace paper plates on the picnic table. Be careful though because if you put a regular bowl on the plate, it will slide easily when carrying the plate.

The small rim is nice to have. It helps with food not slipping off the plate. Worked well for my needs.

These plates are perfect size and weight so I am not returning them. But I did not notice "fine print" that they were not for use in microwave unlike other plastic dishes. Otherwise would be perfect.

Perfect size for cereal!

These are durable, very white and look super nice on the table. We eat outside a lot and these are much easier to tote back and forth. They don't look cheap at all and clean up beautifully. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase additional plates. I'm very, very happy with these.
