Bought this as part of a Slide Scanner Automation project.
I am primarily interested in the cable and the connector to connect my DSLR camera to a micro controller circuit to work in conjunction with operating a slide project for scanning thousands of 35mm slides.The case came apart fairly nicely and I was able to de-solder the wires to redirect to my micro controller relay system. The fact that it has focus mode, threw me off just a bit, but was able to accommodate a focus phase for my project.

Good for the price, but can be frustrating
My main issue with this is it accidentally goes into the lock position way too easily. Can be pretty frustrating.

The L1 version works with Leica SL2 and SL2-S
The L1 version works with Leica SL2 and SL2-S provided that you also use a 2.5mm to 3.5mm adapter that has three black rings on it. This remote works and looks exactly like the Leica version that cost much more.

No camera shake
If you like longer exposures, this basic remote is a must for you. It's no tricky or elaborate... all it does is work every single time without fail. I love it!
