My Feudal Lord: A Devastating Indictment of Women's Role in Muslim Society

I liked the way authors have explained and described the tyranny and the brutality of a man, who is a strong politician. And, on the other hand, there is a woman, due to her insecrities from her family, falls for someone who is just not meant to be with her. Since its a true life story, so I would like to congratulate Tehmina Durrani for the courage she gathered, and wrote against Mustafa Kharr. Hatts off.

Fabulous book & spell binding non-fiction story. I read it in 2 days, as I could not put it down. I will always carry the ending with me in my heart, as her words were unforgettable.Every woman in the western world needs to read this book. Period.I ordered a used hard back version of it from Amazon for less money than a cup of coffee. The book is in great shape and looks great in my home library. Amazon has never once let me down yet.

I received my book and the condition was okay... not great but okay. I am still reading this book and so far its slow but interesting!

I read this book during my flight from WA to Orlando,FL. It kept my interest and gave an accurate depiction of the history and traditions in Pakistani culture.

Oh, MY God! Read it folks...

Pretty disappointing read...it’s a real-life account of an adulterous relationship that culminates in marriage which then quickly turns sour with loads of abuse and violence perpetuated by the husband (feudal lord). It is safe to assume that the authoress wouldn’t be sour if her husband treated her with respect since she was aware how he treated his prior three wives.

SINCE BEING PART OF THE SOCITY I KNOW THE BOOK IS BASED ON THE FACTS. THERE ARE SOME PARTS SEEMS OVERDONE, BUT NOT REALLY. THE AUTHER HAS DONE A VERY REMARKABLE AND DAREING JOB. YOU NEED GUTTS TO WRITE THAT REALITY WHILE LIVING IN THE SAME SETUP. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND EVERYBODY TO READ THE PUBLICATION.

Came across this title when reading Fatima Bhutto's memoir. Durrani exposes her self-centred husband's political ambitons as well as his womanising and violent behaviour behind closed doors. It must have taken a great deal of courage for her to pen such an expose with her Pakistani background. Her culture prefers to sweep such matters under the carpet rather than offend or embarrass families.Commendable. . .

I loved every bit of this read. Didnt put it down until I finished it. Quite a hook.

a bootless errand!

A truthful account of an oppressed woman in a golden cage. Many fingers will point at her and her mistakes, we are all humans and therefore prone to err. What I find so ignorant and sexist of other reviewers is they fail to acknowledge her suffering, what is a greater sin is that they fail to scrutinise the man who is the oppressor in this true life story. No one raises a finger at him, why? Because he is a man and allowed to please himself as he wishes without any questions raised. To those reviewers who have given this poor reviews, all I can say is - shame on you.
