I have the CYMA/King Arms M1A1 with the metal lower and had to modify the hop up to be able to reliably feed the gun with either Matrix or KA mags. I had to remove the mod (which was easy) for the TM mag to seat completely so the mag catch would fully engage the hole in the magazine guide. I now swear by TM mags. Not only do the short mags look correct (considering they are the exact length of an actual 20rd Thompson Submachine Gun magazine, the Matrix short mags are 5/8 of an inch too long) but they function flawlessly and are a little heavier. Very happy.
