High quality & perfect fit
Measurements shown were exact. Perfect fit and looks great. High quality and only took minutes to install. My slider has a little more depth, so I just reused my longer machine screws. Would definitely buy again.

It Did The Trick!
I live in a high rise condo on Miami Beach. So the salt air is hard on just about everything. It was time toreplace the hardware on my sliding balcony door. The condo is about 35 years old and it was obvious the door pull/latch had previously been replaced/repaired. The local sliding door company wanted almost 250 bucks to replace the latch. Found this latch on Amazon and all the measurements/pictures matched up with what currently was on the door. With a few exceptions, this went right on. I had to do a little grinding with the Dremel tool since the previous person who serviced the door boogered up some of the fitting surfaces. The kit comes with two sets of mounting bolts (short and long). My door needed medium. So I had to trim the long bolts with the Dremel tool. After these few little alterations and the latch fit like a glove. The latch mechanism was tight and worked smoothly. Well worth the price. No complaints. It comes with a keyed outside locking mechanism but I didn't need it (30th floor balcony), so I can't comment on that piece.

Nice replacement for original lock
The original lock was missing its key, so I had to replace the whole lock. It turns out this part is pretty much a drop-in piece. The only modification I had to do was to the door itself, which needed a larger hole to be filed to accommodate the wider “keeper”, I.e. the part that screws onto the frame. I also re-used the old latch piece that connects to the keeper to lock the door. Several latch pieces are provided by the way.

Good product
Fit my basic sliding glass door. Latch is plastic, will be ok if used correctly but not likely to last in the rental property. Not sure I would buy again if I could find a better option.

Junk
These things are trash. I bought two of these to replace my 40 year old ones. They didn't last a year. They are made out of cheap pop metal. I'd been keeping them going by fixing them with pieces of my 40 year old set. But now I've got to replace them. I'll probably put the originals back in if I find the keys. Don't waste your money. There's a couple pictures, the catches just broke, original next to it after 40 years of the same usage. They are just a hairshorter than the originals, they slide down just enough for the latches to not stay latched, so you have to keep tightening them up. The metal is so soft it's about to pull through with the screw. The hook on the latch is so lose fitting it sags and engages at an angle so you can slide the door back and forth until it unlatches itself.

May need to make fit in aluminum sliding glass doors.
In my case, I had to lower the latch opening in the aluminum sliding glass door by 3/8" in order for it to work. Otherwise it is just as it should be, although it is not all that impressive in terms of rugged, secure locking. It is just die cast aluminum after all. I'm glad that I am able to reuse the handle from my old, broken latch.

Not bad
You get what you pay for. Not the best quality but definitely fit fine and works ok. I would say buy if you need it.
