Excellent value for money
Having had two dud BT phones we wanted something better It had to be relatively neat and not to take up too much space. The phone arrived as promised and setting it up was easy. You actually get a proper instruction booklet. The buttons were larger than we expected but having used them we are pleased they are. Very easy to see everything and the small screen is informative. The handset is solid in the hand and I especially like the hands free option. Only been in use for a few weeks, but so far we are really pleased with it. One small niggle - as previously reported the telephone lead to the telephone socket is quite short.

Good so far
I ordered this trio phone after having to return a BT 4600 which was faulty. So far I am pleased with this unit with a few reservations. Firstly the box in which it came is very small and I doubt it would be possible to fit everything back in if return was necessary. The batteries were not pre-fitted as with the BT, or the remote charger cords attached. The base unit and extra chargers are quite lightweight and the phones do not fit as securely as one would like. However the phones themselves appear well built and each has a belt clip. The manual is poor with very small print, and not easy to follow. Surely if someone wants big buttons they would appreciate a manual with larger print! There is no manual as yet on the Panasonic website. However it is quite easy to follow each menu on the phone itself. The phonebook is shared, which is good. The main advantage over the BT and some of the other phones is the display screen. Black text on white background is very clear. The number and name is static, does not scroll and easy to read when calls are received. Caller name announcement may be helpful for some users. Sound levels are good although I cannot speak for those hard of hearing. Overall I am pleased with this phone and hope it lasts a long time. I just wish manufacturers would give more thought to some of the issues I have remarked on. There seems to be a race towards advanced technology whilst ignoring simple operational features.

Ugly but functional
Hideously ugly and don’t do quite what I thought as far as nuisance calls but they do have a much bigger memory for blocked numbers than my old phone. They’re not that easy to program or to use some of the features however they serve their purpose and I like that you can set a flashing light for waiting answerphone messages rather than the continual bleep I got from my last phone. Also like that it announces who’s ringing if they’re in your address book and also the volume control is handy. All in all a good serviceable phone system

Good quality phones
I purchased these to replace an ageing Panasonic system and I'm not disappointed. The phones feel well-made and have great features. The answerphone is nice and clear, which is not always the case with modern equipment and the button are easy to read, even in poor light. I like the fact that different tones and categories can be applied to phonebook entries and that unwanted callers can be added to a block list. The only minor negative point is that the display doesn't stay lit when on a call, but I suppose that helps to save on battery power so it's not a big issue. There is an added bonus in my case in that the power units are identical to those of my old system, so I haven't had to run fresh power leads to the charging stations. Recommended.

Seems good value update
Just bought this to replace an old BT phone that had died. Neat phone and base, good display and large keys. The instruction leaflet, as seems common now, not very clear on details. It took me a while to figure out how to change the ringtones for example.I do like that it speaks the name or number calling so I don't have to look at the display to see who's calling. Only had the phone for a couple of days but so far the only real criticism is that the ringtone on the handset and the base unit isn't very loud, even on max setting; certainly nothing like as loud as the old BT phone but the spoken voice-over is louder and I always leave the answer phone feature on. Seems good quality for the money. Update: since original review we have used the phone for a few days. I have now deducted a star to rate it as 3 because we have found the handset speaker phone to be of poorer quality than our old BT phone. In fact the loudspeaker is so poor we have stopped using it. Also, the voice which announces the calls has some very peculiar pronunciations. Overall it's OK but not great.

great for my elderly relative.
lovely clear screen and big buttons. Seems to hold its charge off the cradle for most of the day (which the previous phone did not do). very pleased

Not as good as I'd hoped
I chose this phone because it mentioned good sound quality and good for people with hearing loss. I find the sound quality a bit disappointing. There is a slight vibration and I find it hard to hear what people are saying. I wish I'd spent more and got better sound quality. If you have no problem with your hearing I'm sure it would be fine and good value for money. I like the way all the functions operate, it's easy to follow.
