Great historical fiction!
Great book that gave an entertaining perspective on these women in the Bible. I learned a lot about the historical times and really enjoyed the artistic liberties taken. Stayed very respectful to the Bible stories.

Eye-opener
Love this book! Truly makes you think about each of these women in a different light. Their faith is unwavering and their love for the Lord is exciting. Great read. 10/10 would recommend!

Excellent Excellent Excellent Read
This is an excellent excellent Read by Francine Rivers. Its about 5 women in the Bible. I have bought 6 so far , buying two more for my daughter's friends. Also, I have recommended this book to friends and relatives. You will not regret buying this book. Also, I recommend reading Redeeming Love. You can actually picture the people etc. Last thought, even if you are not interested because its about bible characters YOU will love reading about them.

BEAUTIFUL WOMEN COME ALIVE
Don't skip over this book of stories!!!! You will not be disappointed! I was a huge Francine Rivers fan before reading the Lineage of Grace. However, nothing could have prepared me for the amazing "lump-in-my-throat" awe I felt as I read about these women. These stories are beautifully written and made me crave the relationships and faith they have with God. I was able to read the 1st story aloud to my twin nieces who are about the age of Tamar as she becomes a new bride. It was really neat to compare the historical aspect of that time in contrast to the girls' lives today. Plus, it was awesome to have a "story-form" of the scripture, albeit "fictional", to bring us all closer to God. The girls were just as addicted to the pages as I was. My personal favorite was the story about Rahab and I read this as I completed a Bible Study called "One In a Million" (Pricilla Shirer). I gained a LOT more from that study because of this book; A truer understanding of the multi-layeredness of God's planning and power. I feel like the Bible is full of these "new" stories waiting to be read. Lineage of Grace make you want to run, grab a Bible and find other amazing women to read about. Thank you Francine, for making these beautiful women in the lineage of Christ come alive! PS As is the case with Redeeming Love, you will want 2 copies of this book because you will want to share it over and over with everyone you know. My mom, sister-in-laws, Bible Study friends, friend who lost loved one etc...

A Lineage of Grace by Francine Rivers
What an interesting perspective, to place the stories of these women into one book! I enjoyed getting to know the ladies in Jesus' family line better, and I appreciate the work which Francine did to help me understand their culture, families, and challenges. I was surprised that there were only a few generations between Rahab, Ruth, and Bathsheba, and now I can read about Tamar and not think, "Oh yuck! How could she?" I did find the casual way of speaking to be a bit of a distraction; it didn't seem to fit. There seemed to be a lot of repetition, also, but I enjoyed the book very much and recommend it highly to all who are curious about these women who stand out in Scripture. One thing I especially liked about this book is that Francine remains true to God through His Word; I did not notice any strange, bizarre, or heretical teachings, and I really appreciate that.

Brilliant book about women in the bible!
My favorite author has done it again!! Love this book series that is so brilliant, describing stories from the bible in a relatable way with historical accuracy. Once you start reading, it is hard to put down.

Recommend every lady to read
This is such a wonderful book. It really gave an in depth look at these remarkable women who we don't often see their whole story. This book moved me and helped me to really understand these women and why they did what they did.

A beautiful story. I’ve read it once, and I will need to read it again sometime. I will leave it on the bookshelf in hopes that my girls will read it too.

A must read book!
All the five stories were amazing. The stories describe how we fall short of grace and how much more God extends his grace to fill the gap when we repent and cry to God.
