I Don't Like Koala

I was actually looking for a koala stuffed animal for my friend's daughter when this suggestion popped up. My friend recently had a daughter and I was looking to send a few items to her. This book had great reviews, looked like it had cute illustrations so I decided to purchase it. Sent it over to my friend in a care package and she sent me a photo of her husband reading the book to her daughter. She said her daughter LOVES the book and she herself thought the illustrations (especially the doofy looking koala) and story line were so cute. Highly recommended! It is also a hardcover so seems like it would last longer than one with a softcover.

Very cute book. Everyone as a kid had a creepy toy/doll/stuffed animal at some point. Basically this little boy feels like Koala is eating his snacks, watching him sleep, stalking him, and so on. He fears Koala though 90% of the book, but then realizes that in fact Koala isn't that bad of a "guy". The illustrations are hilarious in this, it was a funny read, and my 6 year old loved it. I loved it too :)

This book is hilarious! Koala has my heart. It is a perfect balance of creepy and fun that keeps us reading this one over and over. The illustrations are wonderful! My kids love it and I love it.

Picked it up initially at the library - such a lovely story that I had to buy one to keep! My toddler didn't quite understand the plot yet but I had to get it for myself. Love the drawing and love the plot. I cherish unique books like this one.

I got this book for my sister, who is a kindergarten teacher and always looking for good read-aloud books. She reports that the kids LOVED it. They begged her to read it over and over. It's got great illustrations and a fun (twist) ending that is fun for kids and adults alike.

This is a fun book to read at any age. In fact, I bought this book for my wife after flipping through it and laughing at a local book store.

Fun book and cute story. I recommend to anyone adults or kids. Koala lovers or haters. Everyone will find something fun and silly in this book.

This book is absolutely hysterical! It's about a little boy who isn't fond of his stuffed koala bear, so he tries everything to lose it. In the end, he realizes koala isn't the most 'terrible, terrible' after all. Happy to have this one in our collection.

This book is fantastic! There are a lot of spreads with lots of blank space which works amazingly well. The expressions on the little boy are SO good - I actually laughed out loud at some of the pages. I loved the ending too.

An incredible book with a delightful, playful relationship between text and image. There is plenty for kids and parents to explore within the image, and much glee to be had in the cheeky story.

My son's favourite book! We borrowed the library copy three times and then bought our own.The illustrations make the book, highly recommend.
