8-29-13. I am NOT a fan of the violin and definitely NOT Vivaldi scores. Nicola Benedetti's presentation on this "Italia" CD has changed that for me, at least partially. Because I listen to WETA classical radio station a lot (before that it was WGMS) in Washington, D.C. broadcast area, I hear a lot of violin, especially Vivaldi, whose works seems to be favorites of the radio broadcasters. I was startled to hear this CD of Vivaldi's Four Season - Summer that Nicola presented. I actually enjoyed it so much I bought the CD - my first violin CD. Nicola is so very talented and plays her presentation so differently from most artists, that I found it very enjoyable. Her violin didn't remind me of a "cat crying"; but a true artist who's interpretation of Vivaldi is amazing and delightful. I'm still not a fan of either the violin or Vivaldi, but I'm willing to change change my opinion. Nicola is such a talented lady. Thanks.

Keep it up young lady. You've made it....But, keep at it! I wish you continued success. Your choice of material is for all to enjoy. I have six of your CDs and I'm very pleased with them. I'm sure there are detractors, as in all endeavors, but I enjoy your playing. I studied violin when I was a youngster and in a way, I'm sorry I didn't continue. War in 1943 was a distraction for me and rather than pursue my studies, I called it quits and enlisted. As for you, You're The Greatest! Looking for the Brahms and Vitali.....soon, I hope.

My daughter is a classical violinist and adores Nicola. This CD was a birthday present for her and she was thrilled to receive it. She listens to it frequently. Nicola is such an inspiration to my daughter.
