It works!

I used this as a replacement for the 6.5 creedmoor match grade die. It fits and works but it doesn't lock to a certain length. Even when the lock ring is tightened down all the way the spindle can still turn. It's works with the expander ball that came with the die.

Nice to have spare parts on hand. Never know when you might need them. I have broken decapping pins before. An easy replacement. One day however, and not exactly sure how I did it, I managed to bens the spindle just above the expander. When I tried to straighten it it snapped. Die was our of service until new spindle arrived. Now I keep a spare on hand. Contacted hornady about the broken spindle and they happily replaced it. They have a great warranty and customer service.

I bought this fo the wrong die, match grade creedmore. No way to tighten down on the spinal. I wear able to jury rig a washer over the collet area so when I tightened it it worked. Should have paid more attention to what I was ordering. Worked very well after my modification

I bent the end of this on my hornady die when I set the rod too low and it bottomed out in the case. This kit repaired that damage.
