This household has long appreciated UV sleeves. They provide sun protection without feeling sticky, like lotions, or needing to be rubbed in, like sprays, or needing to be reapplied. It may seem to be counter intuitive to wear long sleeves on a hot day, but they keep you cooler by keeping the sun off your skin. We use just one sleeve to block sun damage on the driver's door-side arm on long trips. They're also a barrier against biting insects. In a pinch, we've also used them for warmth when the weather changed on a mountaintop hike. Now for these sleeves: The fabric is smooth and typical in quality of other sleeves we've used. They are long enough to pull up past my biceps, which is good for slightly taller folks. The elastic at the top is milder than other sleeves and doesn't bind my upper arm, yet isn't inclined to roll or slide down below my bicep. However, the thumbhole appears to be unfinished, without reinforcement at the edges or corners to prevent tearing. This could become an issue with heavy wear and/or frequent washing. I expect they are washable but I always recommend washing sleeves in a lingerie bag. White sleeves reflect the sun's heat the best but also shows dirt the fastest. Considering how easy it is to lose a sleeve, it's a good idea to have a spare set. That makes this set a good value.

A better than an average product. It’s very effective at protecting your arms from the sun with the added option of the holes to protect the top of your hands as well.

These sleeves protect my arms from shrubs, garden plants and best of all sun. They are cool, lightweight stay where I put them on my arms.

All set sets were good except one set had a rip and a runner on it. Other wise I would have given a 5 star rating. They are comfortable and a good value for the money. They do protect my forearms is what I need

I decided to try these for sun protection because I could not find a shirt that suited the same purpose that was not hot or too long. I just got these and I can tell immediately upon trying them on that they will work great. Soft, very stretchy, close fitting without being tight, fit right up under the sleeves of my usual short sleeved t shirt. I am 72, have old lady skin and have somewhat fat arms (not huge, but I wear an XL t shirt for an idea). I got these with the thumb opening to protect my hands as well as my arms. I will try to remember to come back and update my review when I have tried them out while riding during hot weather. First time I wore them it was not even 90 degrees. When the wind blew, they were cooling. Otherwise they were warm. The fit is comfortable and they do not slip down. However, I did tan thru them. So I would say comfortable, but warm (not cooling), not much protection from sun.

These "sun sleeves," as we call them, are a wonderful alternative to applying sunblock. I break out in an allergic rash when I get more than a few seconds' worth of exposure to the sun here in Phoenix, which makes a 50+ spf sunblock a daily requirement for me. But here's the run - I detest applying sunblock products. I have sensitive skin and a sensitive nose, and most sunblocks made for sensitive skin are expensive, gloppy, and expensive. And they are scented, which makes it tough for me to enjoy the sun blocking benefits of using them. But enough about my aversion to applied sunblock. These sleeves are fantastic! I mostly wear the white ones as they have the greatest cooling effect, but it's nice to know I have other colors to choose from. I admit, they do tend to roll down to my elbows, but that's not surprising as my upper arms are quite heavy. The thumb holes are a wonderful feature. These sleeves are so easy to put on and use that I can slip them on at a typical stop light - I wear them mostly when driving. All in all, I'm impressed with these sleeves and think my dermatologist would be, too.

These are perfect to cover up my bandage from having surgery on my hand and thumb and my arm. It will keep my bandage from getting ugly and dirty, and it doesn't look as bad. Also, I can color coordinate with when I'm able to get up out of the bed and go somewhere. The fit is perfect. It stays exactly where it's supposed to perfect sizing . It does feel cool on the part of the skin that I can feel and it was very easy for me to put on with just my left hand. I think it's an excellent quality material.

I boght this a year ago and I am still using them. It keeps me cool during the summer and warm during winter. I wear it all the time while driving, walking and cycling. I recommend if you want comfortable sleeves that keep you protected.
